Idk about anyone else, but for me, hanuman was a lame ass movie. The end scene was pretty good, but it has literally no essence with the storyline of this movie. Other than that, the animated sequences were cool. The rest of the movie is pathetic. After seeing positive reviews on social media, I went to the theater, and during the first twenty minutes of the movie, I got the idea of screenplay standard of the movie, and it actually turned out to be more terrible than I thought it would be. The actor teja sajja in his role doesn't match even 1% aura of what hanuman ji is described in hinduism. I'm not body shaming or face shaming. Forget the external features for some time. There's no internal features as well. Hanumanji represents calmness, loyalty, and intelligence, and here we have a perverted guy who's theiving around the village for no reason, and somehow, it is cute to the viewers. More than 80% of the movie is filled with unfunny cringe ass jokes more terrible than female stand-up comedians. At this point, I'd say this was a cartoon. Or, to be even more precise, it was terrible than cartoon because the writing of the movie was not at all mature or creative. Even anurag kashyap's animated hanuman movie is way more creative than this one. And just like pratik borade had mentioned that indian writers somehow avoid writing main characters to be hard-working, dedicated, sincere, and struggling. They tend to write pathetic characters who get powerful overnight without any efforts, which doesn't give any meaning to the story. I'd rather suggest reading Amar Chitra Katha or 2d, 3d animated hanuman series and movies than this C grade budget sympathizing movie. If this is peak cinema to you, then brahmastra should be winning Oscar's.
