Dr Felice Gersh (ob/gyn) said “Good-bye to mammograms” on her KZbin video. 👋

Thank you for this unbiased menopause education. Everything becomes clear with each (in order watched) video. The MRI sounds like the Praying Mantis (in my garden) that eats bugs that are pests…BUT, it also eats the beneficial bugs. It does not distinguish between them. Looking forward to next week! 💕💕

I am wondering why it is uncommon to use both mammogram and ultrasound together for breast cancer as standard of care.

Expense for the hospital
@MenopauseTaylor9 ай бұрын
It's always about the medical system's money and not wanting to spend it until they have to. Pay for whatever gives you peace of mind. Never sacrifice your peace of mind because of guidelines or insurance.

I wish you included the amount of radiation exposure from each.
@MenopauseTaylor8 ай бұрын
It's really not that different between them. And none of these constitutes the kind of radiation exposure that increases your risk for breast cancer I presented that in an earlier video.
@aspegel52818 ай бұрын
If it's low, then it would be fine to post to ease people's minds, right? It would be nice to compare it to other exposures to radiation, like dental x-rays or flying in an airplane.

Hi, dr. Taylor! What would be the best option for someone with breast implants?
@MenopauseTaylor9 ай бұрын
This is precisely the kind of thing for which I do one-on-one consultations. You definitely need one. I cannot tailor things specifically to you in a comment box. It requires much more information than you can give me here, and you deserve much more information than I can give you here. No two women are alike, and addressing your situation requires tailoring all the facts specifically to YOU. I do them all via online video conferencing. You can schedule at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I look forward to meeting you and helping you.

Will have MRI for my highly dense breasts only every 2 years as the contrast dye can damage the kidneys.

All the decisions are yours. They key is to tailor everything specifically to YOU. If you want me to do that for you, I can do so in a consultation. The great thing about this education is that you can use it (or refuse it) as you please. There is nothing that is right for all women. We are not robots. Is it possible to tell them not to squish your breasts so hard with mammogram?
@MenopauseTaylor9 ай бұрын
They have to squish them for the scanner to assess them.

Nothing like a little ionizing radiation!
@NicolesNaturals9 ай бұрын
Yeah, no one ever addresses this. Funny how the thermogram's advantage is "no radiation" yet it doesn't mention radiation as a disadvantage in the mammograms.
