Was there a disclaimer in the beginning of the movie - that this is a feminist movie? Just because a movie has female actors it doesn't become feminist movie nor it exists to address all the serious issues faced by women. Just take it as a light hearted fun movie. People misunderstand feminism not because of movies but because they don't want to. Jisko samjhne ki iccha hoti wo credible sources khud dhund leta hai. Baki sabko bas gali deni hi ladki dekhke bas.

Why don't they make films on the general female population man, girls from middle class background trying to make a career, girls studying for govt. exams,overworked women fighting for respect from their families, mid-middle-aged women managing kids and work simultaneously Inn logon ke hisab se ladkiyon ki life mein sex aur relationships se bada problem hi nahi hai. Represent the majorities, women who are fighting for survival, only daughters from poor backgrounds struggling to put food on the plate for their families also constantly avoiding the "shaadi kar lo" pressure from relatives.

Managed to power through this. As a fan of Bhumi's earlier work, this was super disappointing. Some scenes in particular are so badly acted it's amazing the director okayed the cut. Folks calling Animal out for problematic content, but Ranbir at least performed his heart out. Bhumi and co here were super cringe and (to put it bluntly) just acted poorly in a weak script and shoddy screenplay which is equally problematic in places w.r.t infidelity and age shaming. Facial, eyes and vocal expressivity was zero in critical scenes too.. big letdown! Bhumi needs to overcompensate less for her aesthetic/cosmetic insecurities and get back to her acting prowess
