Glad you are still kicking, Newt. My life fell apart in 2020 and your videos have helped me feel a little less lost some times. Every day I just try to make some Art and remember there are some people that still care if I am alive. Some times I fail, but just keep trying. Online trolls just remind me I’m not the most pathetic human, there are those who have zero interest in self-introspection. All we can do is keep trying to better ourselves. Stay strong.

Take care of yourself. Listen you have a job. You're good at it & it helps you with your passion & that's movies. You also are a decent filmmaker & like I always say it's an expensive habit, but one I'm sure you LOVE. That's the important thing. Just don't get obsessive about it. Filmmaking is a fickle mistress that will drive you mad. Go out enjoy life. Meet people, talk to them, develop friendships. Those so called friends that you talk about from the past don't seem so friendly and so nice. Toxic is what I'll call them. You got good peeps around you who care about you. Newt, to answer the last part of your video. The reason why I care is because I started watching your content about two years ago and I related to you a lot, still do. I noticed how genuine, transparent, and entertaining you are. You were so easy to like. I had my own fair share of losing friends, and loved ones. Just to say a this 1) I know how you feel about age, sometimes it’s scary and, believe me, I know what it is wanting more, but sometimes things take time, and despite one wanting right away it’s only putting unnecessary pressure on yourself. You are moving forward, maybe, in this moment, you are stumbling a bit, but you’re still standing goddammit!!, and still moving forward. 2) forget about don’t let people down, do it for yourself, because you deserve it you deserve to be happy and be better. 3) It’s super hard to ask for help (specially for men), and nobody wants to be a burden, but here it’s the beauty, you won’t be. Newt glad to hear you're addressing your issues whether it be mental or physical health, talking definitely helps. I'm sat here in the UK just after 4am I haven't been able to sleep as having issues in work and at home. Feeling very underappreciated tbh in all aspects of my life to a point where I'm like what is the point? I'm 42 myself, 43 in Jan and everyday is a struggle. For what it's worth you are one of the things that keeps me going, I look forward to your thoughts on movies old and new and try and make it to your streams. You are loved by so many so please keep going and look after yourself. I wish I lived near Philly I would reach out and go for a beer whilst putting the world to rights! I don't want to get into my situation, but I've dealt with a physical challenge for most of my life. It's hard, but it's something that I've recently accepted as I a approach my mid 30s. I'm trying hard to also get/stay healthy as much as possible. There's no reason to dwell in the past even though it's hard to stay ahead of the demons. I think you're doing as good as you can if you're trying your best. I've said it before and I'll say it again, you were my favorite part of hack the movies/rental reviews. I still watch Tony from time to time, not nearly as much as used to even a year ago, but it definitely took a long time to get used to you not being there. KZbin drama or anything like that is dumb. Also, the internet in general is more cringe than it's ever been.

I am glad you are doing better and did not crack your head open while falling. I had a health scare this summer when I went in for surgery on my hand after an accident. When I went in to get prepped for surgery my heart went into AFIB. Super scary as a 33 year old to have 40 people all come rushing into a room. Thankfully it wasn't permeant and was brought on by not sleeping for three days leading up to the surgery due to the injury (broken and dislocated ring finger). The feeling between that and when the cardiologist cleared me 6 weeks later were tough. It was hard wondering if I'd be the same if I'd have to completely change my life. The important thing is to keep putting one foot in front of another, as corny as that sounds. Momentum is key to recovering from anything. Hope things keep improving! Loved your videos over the years!
