I have a fear of phone calls too! If a number i don`t know is calling i hardly ever pick up and i can walk around with severe anxiety for a whole day (or dags) when i know i need to call someone i don`t know very well. I can even feel a tiny bit of panic for a second or two when a friend/relative calls and i don`t ”feel ready” to talk on the phone if that makes sense. It`s NOT because i don`t enjoy talking to them because i really do! I guess it`s more that i need to be in the right state of mind and gather my thoughts in order to communicate like a normal human being haha. I told my mum about this and even though she had telephone fear when she was younger, she thought i was really weird 😢😂

Exactly the same with me, even with talking to a friend/realtives sometimes...I have to mentally prepare for it/ be in the right mood. 😬

you've literally described me to a T hehe :)) the "feel ready" thing is exactly it. I'm such an introvert and your experience is hands down mine too ! Not weird at all - although I really hope I get over it hehe xx

What a heartwarming and lovely video as always! First of, I'm definitely going to keep an eye on your Spotify list. The music in your videos is always so groovy and simply awesome. Secondly, it's still kind of warm here in Sweden, and I literally can't wait to be able to wear all my comfy sweaters (!!!!). Also, I used to absolutely hate phone calls when I was younger. Paying in stores and phone calls were two situations I literally couldn't handle, because what if something went wrong. Somehow I have overcome both "fears". I think it's because I have a debit card and am more self-confident now when I'm older. Self development is a saint, I guess. PS. I died of cuteness overload during the "bath time" clip. SO CUTE!

I feel the same really miss having a real winter but here in Thailand it's just constant Summer, I am moving to Sweden next year though, so that will be quite a change :D
@HoneybunchofOnionTops6 жыл бұрын
yes!! it's the comfy-ness of winter that's like BRING IT ON PLEASEEEE, and then in summer it's like LET ME SHOW A SMIDGE OF SKIN hehe. you're so right, i think time and self-growth will be my answer with the phone call sitch. agh dog baths have my heart too. thank you for watching Hannah xoxo

I hate phone calls too! Specifically to strangers like you said. What is that about?! I don't get nearly as anxious about interacting with, say, a clerk at a store. Also, re: the nipple thing, I stopped wearing a bra (except while doing sport) years ago and it's been liberating to learn to get over the concept of seeing nipples thought clothing as being weird. There are plenty of good reasons to wear bras, but discrimination against nipples isn't one of them! anyway... that Happy Pear recipe looked amazing, do you like that cookbook?
@HoneybunchofOnionTops6 жыл бұрын
face to face is so different i totally agree :)) and you're so right on the nipple thing!! if I'm honest i haven't cooked much from the Happy Pear cookbook at all, I've definitely made more recipes from their KZbin Channel. The book has the feel of a Jamie Oliver cookbook... but vegan hehe. But it's a goodin and has loads of delish recipes i intend to try xo

Omgoodness I had the worst anxiety, at your age, with making phone calls. I would trip up and forget things in really important calls. Then I started going nuts in making normal calls, like calling my mom! It was crazy. You just reminded me how petrified I was in calling. Thank goodness what's app came around and I could send voice recordings ... after repeatedly rehearsing and get the message correct. Wooo. What a time.

I hear you regards The handmaid's Tale - its so well done, but heavy going. I always feel a bit low after seeing an episode. I'm studying mental health, so I agree about balancing what you consume! Self-care

it's that mix of it being so good, but it also not making you feel 'that' good hehe. Self-care indeed :)

I had phone call anxiety for the longest time, but since working in an office where I have to answer the phone all the time, I've definitely found myself finding phone calls to be far less scary! So it's definitely just a case of the more you do it the easier it gets!

i had a VERY brief office job for a couple of days and it was the most stressful two days of my life haha. the phone ring would make my heart go - now I'm like Pavlov's dog hehe :)) I'm definitely finding time (with more phone calls) is the answer too :)) thanks for sharing Ciara xx

Ah I love Atypical! I've watched both seasons in a week and now I'm sad I burned through it so quickly. I love Zahid with a passion and I really like the actor who plays the sister. Oh and it doesn't really matter but paella is pronounced 'pie-yay-ah' because in Spanish 'll' makes a 'y' sound 😙😙
@HoneybunchofOnionTops6 жыл бұрын
I love Zahid TOO - that sleepover episode... he and his parents were so kind and supportive!! agh need to get my paella pronunciation into check hehe :)) i do know that, but it would seem the other way is more ingrained in my noggin' hehe xx

1. So cool hearing the Kokoroko song in one of your videos, I've discovered it lately and fell in love with it, so when I heard it in your video I thought I had a different tab open playing it haha. 2. 2:22 Which show are you talking about, I've replayed it so many times but just can't understand. :D 3. I also "dread" phone calls, even now at 25... it's gotten better though, also some days are easier than others/ depends what kind of phone call etc. but I never enjoy having to call someone. I guess it's the unknown...not seeing the person, talking with some distant voice and not being able to interact face to face...I like to see gestures and facial expressions, it makes it more easy to assess the interaction and feels more natural. Don't get me started with some unknown unexpected random number calling you, I just don't pick up. If it's important they'll leave a voice mail or text. 😅
@HoneybunchofOnionTops6 жыл бұрын
agh YAY so glad you spotted the Kokoroko song :) discovered it recently too and fell in love also! at 2:22 talking about Atypical Season 2 :) Feel you on the phone call sitch - that's totally it, having extra communicative cues helps so much in understanding what the person is saying and meaning - which can be two slightly different things sometimes hehe
