I'm just glad you made it far enough into adulthood to be able to examine and rewrite those mental tapes regarding your worth. Grief is like an anticoagulant that causes us to continue to bleed through time, until healing and resolution close the wound. "You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book" (Psalm 56:8).

I am sorry to hear that you have lost a child. ❤ Sadly, so have I. In 1999, the 5th of march, ten days befor his 8th birthday, my son Robin died. A doctor that I met said: "The sorrow will nerver end, you just learn to live with it." He had lost his son some years back. Now, 24 years plus , later I can agree with him. Stil hurts. Sending my strength to you and all others that goes through the jurney. Hugs.❤

I was that bully to some of the kids in grammar school. I never hurt anyone physically, but I'm sure I hurt some hearts and some souls. I would not remember those kids if I met them now, but in my heart I apologize for my cruelty. This video cut my heart. Isn't it amazing that the boy and girl who were bullied in this video, where the ones to do initiate the forgiving and new relationships? And to hear you living that same way. Thank you, again, for all that you are doing to help us, no, me, with all those parts of myself that are becoming better than they would be without your spirit crossing my path. I'll share with you my life motto that came to me after many years in many religions organizations, after realizing that I cannot do all the things that people expect of me. Perhaps it will help others. "We are human beings, not human doings."

powerful song and statement, the young man put himself in his bully's shoes, thought they might be hungry and met them with kindness. He proved to be a better man than I could be, I probably would have removed myself from the situation (walk a different way, etc) he chose to resolve it.

While I was watching this video reminded me of when I was growing up. I had explained earlier that I was a square peg trying to fit into a round hole. We had moved and ended up going to a different school district. I was the new kid on the block. At recess, I had a group of kids that just wanted to beat the shit out of me for no reason..I was a shy kid growing up and I wasn't a fighter. Probably because I was short. But I'm so happy that you shared this video. I'm also ecstatic that there's people out there that want to nip bullying in the bud. I also want to thank you from the bottom of my heart ♥. Before I found out about you, I was in a really dark place. I was listening to Scarlet letters by Mulvane. I don't know if you are familiar with them. But I was listening to this song for a LONG time and almost gave into suicide. I'm so happy that I didn't. I'm just so happy that I came across your website and listening to your journey. You have really saved me from doing something stupid. You have me until the end of time. I ❤you Amanda so much for showing me that I'm not the only one that felt this way. Keep up the great job of reaching out. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

@Mental Amanda. I agree with you 100%. When I was in the 8th grade, for some reason my ears and my two front teeth had decided to grow faster than my head. So, I would have been renamed to Donkey Dumbo kid and so forth with all making fun of names that can be thought of to describe that I had big ears and buck teeth. My mother told me just look them idiots and say, “Thank you for taking your time out of busy day just to notice me. Thank you so much.” Or tell them, “So what is you point and tell me something I do not know.” Now honestly, I can say it di work for about 89% of the time, but the reactions that these people would have was priceless. Never again since then did I receive any negative feedback due to my appearance or intelligence “lack of”. Now I have viewed several of your videos Amanda and have been part of your live videos as well, and I am aware of where you stand with your belief, and if I offend you with this next statement, please let me know so I can apologize to you, but know I only say this to you to let you know that you are wanted and loved. You were created by God, He designed you. So, you are not a mistake. His son died for you just so you can be forgiven. He picked you to be His own. So, you are chosen. He redeemed you. So, you are wanted. He showed you grace just so you can be saved. He has a future for you because He loves you. You are a child of God. We are all proud of you and what you do for all of us.

Thank you. I just found your channel and you are so true. I try and keep people at a distance as it's easier than letting them see the real broken me. Yes I was bullied to the point where endding it was looking good, and I still fight with that. When your treated like your not worth it, even all you accomplished as an adult will srill not seem to matter in my opinion. All my accomplishments got me was PTSD and envying everyone else for what they did. Sorry for opening up, I will shut up.
@MentalAmanda2 ай бұрын
Please don't apologize. Your words, your journey are valuable. YOU are valuable. I was severely bullied in grade school, sexually assaulted in high school and wound up in emotionally abusive relationships as an adult that made me feel broken too. We're not broken. Many of us weren't taught how to handle bullies or to know when to leave a relationship. I'm in my late thirties and just now truly reconnecting with my worth. I've seen people do it much alter in life. It's never too late. My suggestion? Find better people to surround yourself with. It makes all the difference!

Reaction 3. I didn't have the courage in school to be myself. Small towns in my childhood had a certain mold they expected boys to be cut out of. At least that is what my shadows told me, so I did my best to oblige this expectation. I have been miserable my whole life because of this choice. Everyone around me came to know a fictional character and they all hated me. Hell, I hated myself. Drinking and drugs helped me to remain in character without as much honest emotion. IDGAF when I was f'd up. Decades of portraying a hardass wore me down, especially when I have always known the coward that I am. I started making my plans to exit stage left. I'd be lying if I said that I never think about now. I guess being a coward does have One perk. Being to scared to leave on your own is a silver lining?

I was lucky at school i only had one person who tried to bully me. I put him in his place. From what you would call 3rd grade i always tried to support the outsider. Yes that put me on the fringe. I was fortunate though it didn't lead to bullying. What it did do was make me carry that through to adult life. I will always call out the bully. That was part of my reasons for serving "to protect those that can’t protect themselves " ❤❤❤❤❤❤ I do have a suggestion for a video. This one though is a tough one. It's a James Blunt, so be prepared. It's a subject that many deal with byt many do it behind closed doors. One that they blame themselves for where no blame is warranted. They put me in speech therapy in 1st grade it didn’t take long for them to say I was stupid or the “R” word. I was in there for speech not anything else. If you ask me for money I’ll stop and talk with you to gage if you’re just trying to get you next fix. If you don’t think well of others because of their difficulty that is how God wanted them, why do you (other people) have to hide your issues
@MentalAmanda8 ай бұрын
People can be so cruel. I hope you see your worth now. As far as stopping to help people, I don't try to judge where the money will go. As a recovered addict myself, I can say that a tiny act of kindness can change everything. If they're trying to get their next fix, they aren't less of people, they just need a different kind of help and support.
