Damn, I used to hang out with Gideon in Bira, Sulawesi in the late 90s when he was getting his Pinisi built. Hadn't thought about him in a while. Stoked he has this going on. I'm sure you guys have your ways to deal with sunburn, but I'm an old buck and was taught long ago to take as hot a shower you can and slather coconut oil all over you while doing so. Before melting it all off, turn the shower as freaking cold as you can get it and it will emulsify the oil into your skin. By morning, you wont feel a thing. That was one of the best videos ever, I mean there were like 5 people out there, and the waves kept coming in as fast as you paddle back out and turn around and catch another one. Nathan, you get some of the best waves standing up, looking back, slo-mo shots were great. Some of the best shots came when the sun was shining through the wave at the end of the day lighting the wave up. Thanks for sharing.

Oh my days, Ivan's birthday was all time historic!!! I really couldn't say that I've witnessed anything more perfect, although Teahupoo was pretty damn epic and I know what the Mentawais are like, I worked on a mate's charter boat. What got me is how crystal clear the water is and how difficult it is to guess when to paddle and take off, but you obviously don't have that problem 😆 Definitely one for the books and for the awards, I'm sure you'll get the call on this session without a doubt🤙 and yeah, finishing a day of surfing over there with sashumi, dip, some fruit and an ice cold beer lao👌
