Phillips created Dream Outside the Box, a program that introduces youth with low resources to imaginative career and extracurricular pathways. Kam realized the unique outlook her experiences in areas such as rodeo, skiing, and ballet folklorico dancing provided and since creating the program in 2009, DOTB has expanded to additional dance and teen programs and has been featured on mtvU, CNN, HLN and more. 8:33 ms. Phillips took a risk in order to find a mentor, this risk was asking someone higher up than her to be her mentor. Dunno if this helps but hope someone in careers 12 finds it useful

I love this video and I believe that mentorship will change the world as well. I would not be where I am today without the mentors in my life. I think that if you have reached success then you should turn around and pass the torch of knowledge. Every single one of us will leave this planet one day and I'm not talking about going to Mars. When we leave this earth we will not take anything with us but we can leave behind a lasting legacy that will out last any material contribution.
