Sometimes, I can’t believe I’m watching someone else cook, clean, garden and shop - things I have been doing for decades myself. But, Becky makes it interesting and fun and I have learned a thing or two like freezing diced peppers and onions without the need to blanch them.

I tried the kewpie mayo because everyone raved about it. To me, it had an artificial taste that was very off putting. I keep a small blanket in my vehicle that always seems to come in handy. In a pinch, I’ll wrap my perishables (or ice cream) in it or throw it over the bags to insulate from the sun.

Throw potatoes, peppers and onions on sprayed foil with oil or butter and your seasoning of choice on a marinade day and your clean up reduces to a paring knife and grill utensils! The garage drinks reminds me of my father in law. He always has stocked drinks and candy and food period. He grew up with not much food and runs his adult life very differently. If kids visit, they leave with pockets full. He’s very generous and the kids love it!

Hi Becky. I just wanna thank you. When I started watching you, you used the sentence: " Give my self grace" whenever something didn't turn out 100% perfect. Nowadays, you're talking a lot about making your future self happy, and I just wanna thank you so much for those two things. I hate cleaning, but doing something that makes future me happy makes me happy while doing it. And if I didn't make everything on my to-do list, I remember to give myself grace or cut myself some slacks because I might have gotten around to some other stuff. So, thank you for changing my perspective on things and making things more enjoyable, and thank you for entertaining me while doing the dishes. Ps: I hope it all makes sense. Being from 🇩🇰 english is second language and better spoken than written.

I'm totally with you about sauces. 1/3 of my fridge is filled with sauces. What I love about them is that they can take the same exact ingredients and turn them into a whole different dish. Chicken, noodles, and sauteed veggies, can be an Alfredo dish or that same dish could be an Asian style stir fry. I could use the same ingredients all week but add different sauce and no one in the house would get bored. Which is great when you shop on a budget and can get bulk of something.

No one person is 100% self suffincent. Even in the 1800s people were going here and there within the community to get the things they needed. Thats how communities thrived. We need to focus on what we can do and source locally whenever possible. Buying local helps to ensure that you have access to food for years to come. Our cow has raised 10km from us and slaughtered 30min from us and sent back to the farm as they have a custom butchershop on the farm. It is so nice to be able to know what they eat, their heritage line and see the whole process from start to finish.

Becky next time pick up the Kinders Buttery Steakhouse spice. You can slice your zucchini & yellow squash vertically, brush with melted butter, season with the Kinders, salt & pepper and grill. It’s so good! My nephew likes his squash softer so he throws his in a foil packet with a tab of butter and the same seasonings. The Kinders Buttery Steakhouse is good on steaks and burgers too.

Hey Becky! I was watching Kate with venison for dinner last night and she said she freeze dries cucumbers to make Tzatziki sauce all year round. She loves it too. I Immediately thought of you and said oh Becky's gotta hear about this.🙂

We love the Japanese barbeque sauce and the Kewpie mayo. Yoshida's will always be in our rotation, but this bbq sauce is very tasty. I wonder, do you ever put fresh fruit/puree in your sodastream beverages? We really enjoy it.

I think the buying your clothes at Costco or the feed store or wherever is not necessarily a sign of Aging it's just a sign that you're no longer willing to spend ridiculous amounts of money for clothing that is absolutely not worth it.

Becky, you know what makes you so successful is this. I feel like every time I see another video, it is like you are talking just to me. Just like a sweet girlfriend that will call me and we talk about recipes and canning and new things or just sharing a day together. Thank you for being you and sharing a big portion of your days with us. Your garden is beautiful and you inspire a 71 year old woman to be a better cook. I’ve taught my little 8 year old great granddaughter how to make and can beef broth, your recipe for homemade bread and pizza dough, how to take care of flowers and so many other things…just by watching your channel. You are inspiring younger and older generations of women the art of homesteading, cooking, gardening and so much more. You make us all better. Thank you for supporting local farmers. God bless you, Josh and baby A. 💕💕. Your friend in Missouri

The Japanese BBQ sauce is SO good! We use it for grilling kebabs with shrimp, chicken, veggies, and pineapple. And in marinades for salmon. Oh and for lunches I’ll put it on a turkey burger with a side of broccoli… it’s one of my favorite things. Publix sells it in a tiny bottle for the same price as the giant one at Costco.

Becky, you might enjoy fermented lemonade. I just sampled my first batch, inspired by your kombucha episode. It is tart, bubbly and refreshing. Finnish Fermented lemonade was very easy to make, recipe is online.
