Please stop getting down on yourself 😔 I'm pretty sure I've posted this comment before but I love, love, LOVE your videos and have been watching since I was in secondary school (I'm 25 now) and I can honestly say I don't care if you have a new background and I don't care if the lighting isn't perfect, if anything it gives a more natural look! I just really wish you didn't feel like you needed to apologise for everything, just do you and kick arse! Xx

Just two suitcases - one had bedding and my work equipment for filming etc! The other had clothes, skincare, makeup, etc. I also brought my boudoir light and some other random bits!

Nothing to do with the video, but what's Lucy's accent? I love it, it sounds so elegant but not exaggerated, and even though Spanish is my mother tongue, I understand absolutely everything she says without putting any effort, not like with other UK, Australian or some US accents 😅 if I were to emulate an accent to speak English, I'd love to have this one, but I think mine sounds very American cause it's like the standard English that you learn

@@laurafindley3489 received pronunciation is defined as a broadly southern accent. Sometimes Lucy says the odd word in a slight London accent but the shift in speech is so small that her accent would still likely be classified as received pronunciation.

Have to say, I didn't love the dismissive tone you have about "women's lit" when you were discussing "Such a Fun Age". Especially right now in all the chaos, I think it is unkind to be denigrating escapist fiction that people might be so desperate for. The comment also felt to me like it plays into the common practice of dismissing "women's lit/chick lit" as being of lesser quality for being light or feminine, which seems ironic when the book is advertised as addressing institutionalized racism and classism in the US. I recognize that you are only halfway through the book, and if you are used to reading classics, that it can be quite a change, but it's never okay to simply write off an entire genre of literature just because it's not to your taste.

Yeah I feel that - I couldn’t think of the right term hence putting it in quotation marks, but watching back in the edit I can see how it would come across poorly! I just generally don’t tend to enjoy the mainstream fiction novels that tend to be winning annual women’s prizes. Plz let me know what that genre is actually called!
