Thanks for sharing your review on this rower. I actually just tried out Merach's R14 Wooden Rower but comparing it to the 950 I just received, the R14 felt so much smoother during each stroke. One thing I've noticed with the 950 is the during the pull, I sometimes hear a slight knocking sound. Did you experience that during your testing? I also contacted Merach about that sound as well to see what their thoughts were. Thanks

Is it at least more resistance than just a regular water rower? I’m leaning towards this one over the errgatta because you don’t have to pay monthly

I wouldn't say so, the resistance felt pretty similar. However this is a great one if you don't want to pay for a monthly subscription! - Linds
