You can clearly see that Merc had a Mark of the Wild buff on himself during the duel. The DK would have killed him at 6:12 when he was at 500 hp, but the extra resistance and stamina enabled him to stay alive and win the duel plus the 100k gold.

You can trade drums between players just like potions. I don't think a leatherworker or an alchemist should be allowed to use those items to gain an advantage only because they've created them.

I remember fo this day... Blood dks in this patch were THE MOST broken class in wow history. No other class or period even holds a candle. Bone shield reflecting and mitigating damage. Blood strike rune gave it 45% more healing... Last but not least if they had pve armor they had like a 70% parry rating...

No way he is at a loss of words... That DK sucked ass! On more than one occasion he could have ended the rogue. A simple death coil would have gone a long way, and the death grip was off CD when he was togue was low and running away. The DK let him have that win.

hes a pve blood tank knight he may not even have death coil on his bars lol. The rogue was constantly running away and running back in making death grip pointless (the chains made more sense at low range) , he would have frustrated the the hell out of the dk. When the rogue truly tried running away the dkd did use death grip. he did start using death coil near the end but it was doing shit damage and was costing alot of runic power, so that's why he didn't spam it, he snot an unholy dk.

Maybe if you caught one out of stealth and got a bleed on them preventing them from getting back to stealth. Besides that warriors were meat for rogues in WOTLK even when prot got buffed towards the end. Prot warriors were the only warriors that would even require my Mut rogue to vanish or shadowmeld to get a second stunlock (tried to always avoid getting a bleed on me for obvious reasons) to finish them off. And yes I cheated and used some PvE gear to boost my dps so that most classes did not stand a chance. Only thing that did stand a chance versus rogues 1v1 were Prot Pallies and Warlocks setup to duel with port/succubus. Old comment I know, but I was already logged in.

Why isnt he using smoke bomb when kiting, it could get him a restealth... it prevents the dk from casting/using any ranged spell, and he uses cloak of shadows so uselessly. Quite an old video but still...

the dks range was pathetic, his death coil hits for 2.3k when back then it could hit for 15k+ in Pvp gear + Humans resistance to shadow damage. He might swell save smoke bomb for time when the dk wasn't starved (which he was all game) (Rune starved) So even when the dk did DDeath grip him back, he would ave wasted the 2 frost runes on trying to CoI (Chains of Ice) the rogue, so there really was no need to worry about a burst (+ Blood dos didn't actually have a burst back then, it was more just hitting them and hoping for procs on blood runes)

You realize this was Cata correct? Recuperate healed about 30-40k over the duration with 5 combo points up. Blood strike with shield was about 20-30k mid season.

I think giving every class a heal is a good choice, because then all classes can win duels against any class, the pvp is actually pretty balanced and it depends 95% of the skill of the player, not the class. Now I might just be ranting for no reason because I cant tell if you're sarcastic or not, but I really like the way mop pvp works.

The only improvements I find watching all the hotfixes/patches that imho are actually good are, 1) first cc doesn't last for 40 secs, 2) diminishing return, 3) they gave each class at least one interrupt/silence. But these things plus fast cooldowns, endless mana and so on can make a 2v2 match last forever with a healer on both teams! I see arena videos lasting 30 mins each match, 3s' yes they require more strategy.

To be completely fair, as a rogue, your main heal is a HoT so you rely on letting that tick for as long as possible. Additionally, the heal (on average) is around 14-15k per second so that is worth letting tick. BUT I do see your argument, rogues can easily keep that heal going forever. But like Brandon Holbert said, you dont wanna just sit there and get slapped constantly. Thats what I do on my rogue :) GJ Merc!!!!
