Great vid Mercader. I thought the first pally fight was great, and then 4 more followed! Watching this was much like watching a lengthy boxing match where each fighter is trying to keep the fight flowing at their own rhythm. One thing I noticed was that the only 3 times you got low was when the Pally went offensive on their HoJ. All the other times you kept them blowing it defensively. Excellent dueling! Cant wait for the next one in your series!

@heroewa As a ret paladin the rogue opener is a huge amount of dmg, so to counter the opener I started with sword and shield with mending and seal of insight and Divine protection, and after the opener I switched to the 2H, if I got to around 50% HP I switched back to 1H Shield / divine protection to get some health back.

@MrCawked Sorry, I use a gaming mouse (as does Mercader) and when I PRESS the buttons, they make a "click" sound.... thus my statement. I see how it appears I'm calling Merc a "clicker", but, unless he's Chuck Norris, he doesn't have the hand speed to click the abilities and move the way he does... Sorry for the confusion

Download bartender. Setup bars for reg non stealth mode and stealth. Go to bar 1 config. Setup a bar of you choice with SD spells then under bar 1 stance config assign the bar to shadowdance. When shadowdanced, bar 1 turns to shadowdance with spells of you choice. Hide the clone bar for SD by turning it off.

I can tell you probably arent high rated, the shield and 1h is because Merc is melee damage and will get the opener as he is a rogue. Using the shield will minimise the damage taken from the opener, once the opener is finished they switch back to 2h.

@wowdarkpvp As true as that is and i kinda agree with you, you got to admit that you should take any advantage you can get when your in PvP. Even if it makes it "easy" its still a part of the rogue class and should be used whenever thought necessary.

@spiKethEcLaM Look at 4:05 the lowest rating pally was using Sword/Shield. Plus you'd want to kite the rogue around, and keep cleansing Crippling and sprint(whatever that ability is called for pallies) and get out of range from backstab. It works sometimes. And why wouldn't you flash heal when putting him into a rep? What else are you to do when you do CC him? None of thse Ret's are shitty. It wasn't like he killed all of them on the first try. He tried going against them in different orders.

@pwnsauce8 Right now, Feral Druids are a note-worthy match for Rogues. Fairy Fire, Bleeds, from two animal forms might I add, healing ability, stealth, Disarming them is Useless - you get my point. I'd say do an Ultimate Feral Druid Challenge.

only while he is playing defensive if u look at 06:01 he is using a 2h he only uses 1h and shield while he is either stunned or surviving his next cooldowns and 2h for purst with shield he has more armor and chance of block also he switches to healing seal for more defence

@aske808 Just because theyre at 2300 rate doesnt mean he sucks... You know Arena teams depends just as much on the team your playing with as yourself.. If he dont got a good enough partner its obvious he cant get up to like 2500 or above..

@TheTrickSession Because those heals consume holy power what you get from crusader strike a 8sec cooldown and sometimes hard to use on rogue's and they rather use it for a dmg skill appearantly :)

that last ret was really good, but i don't understand why they charged at you off the bridge, when they were not fully health and could have los/healed up a bit more. I did find their choice of seals quite interesting, some kept trying to kite without the snaring one, others put the dot up, others insight to self heal. None seemed to change it much through the fight though.

@AmericanCkia Flash of light heals for maybe 9k in full vicious gear and costs 30% of your mana, so if you're lucky you can get 3 off before you go completely oom. A rogue's recup ticks for 4-5k and lasts basically forever. There is no comparison.

Are there any paladins you can't beat!? :D A few of them almost had you though. Very interesting video, would be great to see more. I must say, I think the 'out of combat' status in pvp should be a bit longer, considering you would never get this advantage with a mob in a dungeon, but oh well. Some of those paladins came really close, you could tell that some were very skilled.

@MercaderGaming It takes a lot of skill to run around in stealth waiting for recupe, to sap + eat, and to get stealths off / avoid damage from a ret during CD's in blade's edge arena. I can't imagine how disastrous it would be if you did not play so perfectly and flawlessly.

that stacks all the buff a rogue got , and rogue have some self buff like 5 % crit chance , when u saw 4 probably he pass near his pala (in his group u can see a pala) probably that guy had an aura active , so merc got that aura that s all .

I love the video but I have to agree with PuredemisWoW because there were times in the fight where Mercader was down to very low health and the Mark of the Wild buff he gained at 2:31 could have completely changed the outcome of the fight. But I still loved the video!

As u can see Mercader is the only rogue with this tactic (stun and eat) other rogues dont do that ,but all palladins are same they stun and then heal (all of them) so u can see the difference :) @TheVurtne

man i cant understand one thing, in 1:47 mercader was stealth, and he saps the paladin use the food, but the stealth have a little cd of 2 seconds more or less when you leave the stealth mode, why when mercader leaves the stealth mode, this stealth don't enter in the little cd? was instant. i do i play a rogue at 2400 rating. Rogues are all about control and easily take out healers. They just need to control the enemies healing and "burst" when its necessary
