Hi and interesting review , its good to see more attention on the MX60 I don't know if you just drop your stuff here for promotion or engage, but here's some thoughts for you and points for people who come here to reddit to read about stuff ...) You didn't mention how you fried the controllers, my guess is slow climbing? Some points as the owner of one (and having done nearly 800km since the 12th of March) * totally agree with the standing arrangements ... wait till you climb a steep hill, and be careful about putting your foot on that shock because you can break that adjuster off ... The angle of the stem in my view is to prevent people crowding the bar under breaking, and if you just adjust your riding position you can make more use of the deck (evaluate your video, see you didn't stand foward?) at the cost of being close to the bar (which the want because then braking forces are then put more down the stem) * making the deck longer is frequently not possible because many locations have length requirements for scooters. * I wonder why that part is broken, its not broken on mine, also its not waterprooof but you seem to be missing the facts that there is a seal running around the lip and that there is a great hole at the front where the cables go in. Just what would you DIY 3D print? a cover? Then there is the neglected fact there are drain holes in the bottom of the bay so that any water can go in. Waterproofing is about the electrical joints not about the box (note that a car bonnet is not waterproof, yet the wires and joints are). Please watch a few pull aparts of the Boosted Rev (Eg kzbin.info/www/bejne/rH6kgWd8d8h_eqs) * fast charging (or faster) is done by buying a second charger and plugging that in too ... thus two ports (its in the manual) * I believe you'll find its an XT-90 and on that subject the other Mercane (the wide wheel) uses the XT-60 which is a superior connector to the XLR (originally made for microphones) * Have you lifted the scooter? Say into a vehichle? Taking that 7kg battery out helps. Also even if you have a bicycle storage at your apartment they're often cold, so taking the battery out and taking it upstairs is beneficial. Lastly when batteries die (as they do) replacement is straight foward). The removable battery also prevents the battery getting wet when water comes in (see point 1) above * the shocks are adjusted ONLY by opening or closing that valve. Its not really a partial adjustment. You just turn them like a car valve and air gets in through the top. If you open them and then jump up and down on the scooter you'll hear air sucking and blowing. If you open the valves it will be much softer ... the shocks are actually excellent. * fast over big bumps will bottom out the front if you don't "close that valve" * the brakes are interesting in that they are dual piston, so its better than just one size squeezing so addresses the major concern of .cable brake systems. Did you observe the easy access adjustment knob? * so regen, that's new ... are you sure it has it? *If it does* then it has to be a custom job with those new controllers. Myself I don't like regen for a few reasons ( i) returns next to nothing ii) stresses the axle clamping arrangements iii) isn't very modulatable) * and like everyone else you missed out on the *higher speed stability of the scooter*. The 10x is sexy but dangerously unstable at speed because of the lack of trail. My blog has a bunch of stuff on the MX60 here: cjeastwd.blogspot.com/search/label/MX60 Its sort of randomly ordered (its a blog) but has a lot of analysis and pictures (and of course some on my youtube feed too) kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYOpn62Xg7OFp9k kzbin.info/www/bejne/joHZg2Rml5ljsKs Best Wishes and Happy Scooting

Hi there I love your videos,thanks for doing a mx60 video. I have one myself and was wondering if you could answer couple questions for me as I can't find any info anywhere on my scooter 🙄 Were the controller's that fried stock or custom ones? I feel like iv lost acceleration from when I first got it although I still get the same top speed. Do you think that could be a controller damage issue? The cover box over the controller's does feel hot to the touch after use also, what's a safe sorta temperature a controller should get to? What were the 25a controllers you put on it? I would love to update mine. Were you getting the 60kmh with the 25a controllers? I'd really appreciate if you would take the time to help me out here as my mx60 feels so sluggish on acceleration now. I definitely feel like it's not as punchy as it was.

I'm 5'7 (5'8 on my good days) and I don't find the handlebars to be a nuisance in any way. For taller riders, I can see how this can become an issue. Just gotta find the correct scooter for your application I guess. I'm pretty pleased and content with my MX60, it gets the job done but the range/batteries is something I wish that could be improved upon.
@finophile4 жыл бұрын
I'm about the same height and I guess it depends on riding style, but when climbing hills and riding aggressively they interfere with deck movement and footwork ... deck is already limited ... if you just stand there on flats commuting to work then the MX60 is most certainly the Toyota Corolla of scooters: competent, comfortable and reliable (so far) Some ride thoughts kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYfHgaxnZdKUr8U Happy Scooting

4:55 it’s actually either an xt90s (spark resistant) or the xt60s. Xt30 is teeny tiny plug for 24v max.
@JamiePineappleWyatt4 жыл бұрын
The way the spark resistors work is, Plug it in half way, it will let a low amount of current to flow from the battery to the capacitors inside the controllers, wait 3-4 seconds, then plug it in the rest of the way, it’s now fully connected and you didn’t release any blue lightening during the process. I used to use these on my 100v ebike because I was sick of scaring the shit out of myself every time I hooked up my backpack battery
@JamiePineappleWyatt4 жыл бұрын
10:35 rear tread is on backwards... water wicking channels should be facing the opposite direction no? I’ve been seeing this on a lot of websites and shipped scooters, while the front wheel remains in the correct direction 😂
@Jayeeyee4 жыл бұрын
@@JamiePineappleWyatt The treads are uni-directional both on the front and back. I don't know why it's designed like this. I've looked around for 10x4.00-6 tire replacements but there's only 2 options out there, one of them is the stock design and the other is more off-road oriented but doesn't look like it'll offer much traction.

How do people not understand the concept behind the removable battery. The reason they design it this way is to give the rider an option to carry one more battery in a backpack. Just take it out and plug in another and come back home, and not get stranded, so simple, yet, people dont get it.

Yeah I think when you compare this scooter with a Zero or a Kaabo it really lacks the features that most scooter nuts look for. I ride the Wide Wheel at the moment and it's a great gateway ride to the scooter world but any higher spec scooter I'd look else where (I've got a Mantis Pro coming, can't wait!). The MX60 is in theory and design a great scooter but in reality it sadly falls short of it's competitors... Great vid as always. Keep up the great work Adam.
