Mercededes GLA Airbag removal

This video is to show you how to remove Airbag and steering wheel on a 2019 Mercedes GLA.
The same method is used from around 2014 and will be identical with any Mercedes with similar steering wheel.

I struggled big time and gave up on my steering wheel trim bezel replacement. After watching your video I feel a lot more confident on fixing it. I was using a Philip’s head screw driver but I think a flat head would be better. Thank you for posting this.

The four holes on the steering wheel seem much larger than the bolt ends on the airbag, then what prevents the airbag from slightly wiggling around? Is it just the tension of the both circular springs?

Thank you for this video, I just wanted to know if it's mandatory to unplug the battery before, I just want to pop it out, but not disconnect it from the steering wheel just to see the inside, thank you in advance.

Hi Hernan It is advisable but you can do it at your own risk. I have seen many people take airbags out without disconnecting battery but it increases the risk of deployment. I would advise you do disconnect it.
