Mercedes 190E AMG V8 Turbo - 600 WHP 800 NM

TB:s 1000hp Mercedes 190e v8 turbo project.
Earlier the car had a 600whp bmw straight six engine but this time we wanted to try something different. TB has done a lot of engineering to make the engine work with the car and the drivetrain.

Amazing work to put such a huge engine like this in small car. A turbo m119 is so rare but this engine was made to take boost Is it possible to use a standalone ECU like this in a W140 without losing stuff like stability control or ABS? Would be a perfect sleeper "retromod"

Hi. Nice projekt. I have question, i build the same engine just 4.2 open deck. All so its gona be turbo. I, m using copper +steal+copper head gasket, but not jet give him a boost. What gasket u are using? Is it stock? Thanks!

Hey! First engine was a open deck version that didnt like the turbopressure. The second engine was closed deck but in bad condition when we put it in, so we knew it was a risk that it would live for too long. :P

Actually we swapped it because we used the whole front chassie, including engine, from a bmw e36 earlier. =)

It a bit mixed, it was a 5.0 AMG then a standard 5.0 then 4.2. They all died from bearing failures

hey dude! Sorry or late answer. I will try to answer most of the questions in a later video. But for now: VEMS ECU, a combination of bmw/mercedes in the suspension and stock mercedes diff (that's starting to get a bit worn :P )

Depending on what motor we are discussing, but a thicker and stronger head gasket is the easiest way i would say. Usually when we are turbo charging a car we are using a cooper ring head gasket with very good result.

A combination between standard exhaust manifold for that engine and some home made modifications and pipes to fit into a 190E with the turbo :)

@@berfus7823 Yes, all pipes end up going into one turbo, but technically i think it would be called 8-2-1 since it is collecting the cylinder banks on each side before those to pipes merges and flows into the turbo :) You can see those to pipes in the top left corner at 0:24 when they connect to the wastegate and merge together into the turbo :)
