I’ve had people ask about a panoramic sunroof on coupés before, it’s mainly due to the curvature of the bodywork on the roof. You have reduced headroom in the rear of coupés anyway so adding a panoramic sunroof would only compromise this further. Also being a Mercedes-AMG, adding larger glass panels to the top of a car only adds further weight, sometimes up to the weight of an actual person! I’d rather keep the 0-60mph at 4.5 sec! 🤓

Good thing that I'm not the only one being disappointed by the new CLS not having a panoramic sunroof. You can get the panoramic sunroof in both sedan and estate variants of the E class. Then why not in the CLS, a car that is supposed to be even classier and more expensive?

I don't get it too, but you got the CLS wrong. It's not classier, it's sportier! I own a 2016 CLS 350 Shooting Brake right now and in 3 weeks is delivery of my new CLS 53. I chose the CLS again because i needed a sporty second car next to my S560!

@@martin_mosni6436 Why would you get 2 luxury sedans. I'd get something sportier for that price. If you want to stick to mercedes then it would be the c63s or something.

Wind noise? I got a C43 Cabrio and it also had wind noise. Had the seals replaced and they adjusted the window slightly. Took a few tries, but the noise was eventually eliminated. So may not be because of design, but a flaw that needs to be fixed. AMG GT 63 has the same frame-less door design. So curious if it suffers from the same wind noise as your CLS tester. Looking forward to your review.

We had a GT63S 4 Door arrive a couple of weeks ago and on the PDI the technician picked up on wind noise but managed to rectify it so you could be right that it's a fault that hasn't yet been fixed. Otherwise really enjoyed this one! Thanks its going to be a couple of weeks before I get my hands on it but we have started working with Protechnika and started filming a video with them this weekend. The AMG GT4 they race is unreal 😍 coming soon.....

I’m not sure on the naming system Can anyone explain it for me? So it’s an E class? In a 4 door coupe (which is a two door) With an S on the end. Confused. Why not ESC E-class S-sport C-coupe.

Personal opinion but this is far from ugly in my opinion! Absolutely love the look of this car! Mercedes have one of the best designs in the market.

Lloyd Freeman this is not luxury in any way. If I'm spending that much money it should look better than that.

Fair enough, maybe this just isn't the car for you being an entry level AMG. Everyone has their opinion. Personally for me I don't feel that BMW are exciting at all. Externally they've lost their way and internally it's still the black plastic type interior it always has been. Very bland and by no means luxury! Mercedes for me is far superior.
