Thank you very very much you will like a lot of my Sprinter Contant. It is very one off, and I have invented some very ingenious things for Sprinter’s…. However, at the moment we’re dealing with family tragedy my youngest son was the victim of a serious crime, where he was trying to protect his friends from bullies. I will be getting back to normal Contant fairly soon, so do not be disappointed. I’m very sorry.

I snapped the alternator housing my first time replacing it. Didn't know my own strength. Great advice on the tensioner hole trick. Every Sprinter with 50K was a victim of the ol "time to replace the tensioner pulley" sales pitch.

Hi Clay. My Dodge sprinter 2007 2500 Van won't pick up speed maybe 40 -35 mph on the highway the most. I was told the intake manifolds are bad they want about 4k to fix it. What your opinion on that? I will like to change the whole engine because the Van got 240k miles.. But they are frinkin expensive. While back I purchased Liquid moly pro line diesel particulate filter purge and cleaner that never fix the problem.

Oh sorry I did not see this. You would’ve been better off messaging me on clays, ac and Auto Repair over Facebook and I would’ve answered very quickly and told you affirmatively no do not replace the engine… … 240,000 miles is really not anything on one of these vans at my shop we delete them so this doesn’t ever have this problem again but that’s about the right price for that job parts and labor a little bit less than 4000 bucks especially nowadays probably should be a little bit more considering everything else has went up about 50%.

@@curtismagoon7085 well, I certainly appreciate the opportunity. Curt and I sure wouldn’t mind helping you out if you needed it. Primarily I run a KZbin channel I’m 48 and I own the shop for a couple of decades I generally do not do repairs for the public unless it’s some thing that’s very expensive like for instance Intakes on these particular vehicles and Alternator job at my shop on this particular vehicle would still have been 600 with parts Unfortunately, though, if it’s something that someone else can do rather easily, I don’t generally take the jobs on unless there’s some KZbin value in the job. Obviously you watch this video and the point of these videos are to show you how to do it yourself or at least show you what the shop goes through. I can certainly say the shop charging $1000 for this job does not surprise me. When you own a shop, you have a great deal of cost so even though I would not charge anywhere near $1000, they have several people that will pay $1000 so that’s why they do it often in society nowadays the reasons that things cost so much is because people are willing to pay them The point of my KZbin channel is to get people not willing to pay them because when people are not willing to pay prices will go down, because demand is not so high. I’m sorry I couldn’t help you today but you’re more than welcome to ask me in the future you may have something that is of interest in me doing and I’ll be happy to help you out with that or I always give advice for free ask anytime I don’t answer every single comment on my KZbin channel because I get a lot of comments but I wanted to make sure because your neighbor that I messaged you back and told you my philosophy on things.
