Thanks for making this! Glad you’re dropping the music from future videos. I watch most of my KZbin videos at 1.5x or faster and the music gets more distracting at that speed.

I really appreciate your videos. I prefer them without the music though, especially if I speed up the video.

I assume you mean for Freon that you used R-12, yes? Our cars came with r-12 vs r134 unless your car was converted at some point -

This car had been converted at some time to R134A. There is a sticker under hood , but I cannot read the date. I received no service records on this $600 beauty, as it was headed to the scrap yard. I was shocked and surprised to find the owners manual in the glove compartment, but no service records at all. There is a sticker in the drivers side B pillar stating the original dealer in Bayside NY from 1982. I just received my ETR switch and hope to install it in the next week or so. Thanks for watching!

Have you replaced your heater hoses, if so how do i do it?
@JRBRestorations10 ай бұрын
Yes. I replaced the heater hose on the driver side. You have to remove the cover for the blower motor, the blower motor itself, then you will see how that hose goes into the heater core. I had to remove the air inlet grille on the driver side and open the outside air vent with a pump up vacuum tester, the heater core copper inlet is right there, the hose held on with a hose clamp. It was a challenge, trust me!!

@@JRBRestorations okay thanks, we got as far as the outside air intake vents. We took off the 3 to 4 plastic plugs in the engine compartment but it would not slide out, how would i remove the air vent? Also will we damage the air intake flap if we pry it open and not use a vacuum pump? Thanks!

@@jamieplays2007 you have to remove the bottom corner windshield trim molding, then the grille slides out. Do not pry the vent open. I went in behind the glovebox and traced which vacuum line went to the outside vents. I them attached a hand held vacuum pump and pumped a few times till the vent opened. I had about a 5 minute interval where it stayed open enough to start to undo the hose clamp. Of course I had drained the coolant so the lines were empty. My passenger side heater hoses looked and felt great, so I did not touch them.

@@JRBRestorations thanks, i after further consideration I don't think I will replace them. Unless i can saw off the hose clamp from the blower motor cavity....
