Lewis Hamilton had a smooth ride in Bahrain back in 2015, but teammate Nico Rosberg had to content with two feisty Ferrari drivers as the podium positions swapped and changed repeatedly.

Sky has broadcasted many retro races in the last few years, but they can also use ITV coverage I believe. Matthew, they've already uploaded a video of that race so it would be nice to have a different one now.

The one thing I love about night races is the gleam of the cars. They are fierce to begin with but night time under lights they are the "modern art" that the late great Clive James described them as: modern art propelled by burning money.

Hopefully we can get a race like this for 2018 especially with the extended DRS Zone at the start of the straight that should help for better slipstream and more aggressive attacking into turn 1 like in this video between Rosberg & Vettel :)

The most encouraging thing is that Ferrari this year seems to have a very very good straight line speed. Last year Ferrari was lacking a little bit in this area.

They should add another DRS section at every track or make it DRS all around again. Also extend the one at Baku by half a mile, it starts so far down the straight.

2015/2016 : Yeah only overtakes with DRS it's just fake and to easy! 2017/2018 : The cars have to much aero making overtaking to difficult! 2015 and 2016 were better! Imo we should go back to the 2016 regulations, the field was very close together, overtaking wasn't easy but it was Reasonable doable and cars had much less traction and grip making them very difficult to drive

Well, I don't know about qualifying, but in races last year in the end it was also 2 cars from each team one after another. Just look at the final drivers' standings. Up to 16th place we have 2 red bulls, 2 force indias, 2 renaults, 2 williamses, 2 haases and 2 mclarens in perfect order. Just with the exception of Vettel's Ferrari slightly ahead of Bottas in Mercedes and to be fair Sainz did most of the season with Toro Rosso, but yeah, still standings follow the pecking order quite strictly.
