the 80's and 90's was a really special time for cars.. i wasnt born then but i identify so much with the vehicles from that time. this is such a special car man, my dream is to own one in the future

I have a 1987 SEL 560 with full options and as like he said there is a spacial feeling when you seat inside and drive it.. Something make you very important person and getting the attention of everyone around you even when I took it for the washing shop everyone circled around it and watch it and start talking about how gorgeous this 560 and how it has all that technology even it's an 87 model and that really make me feel so proud of my SEL 560..

Probably the greatest cars that Mercedes ever made worthy 560SEC models they were absolutely gorgeous they drove like a dream and they were a super. Good looking car. In 87 I bought an AMG Mercedes from AMG it was a wide body SEC with a 6 leader motor and it was an absolute beast. If you can get your hands. On? One of these they're gonna cost you a bunch but they're worth having greatest car I've ever owned.

These where very popular in Miami , the drug dealers used to rock these widebody coupes. I believe a model or two made it onto Miami Vice tv show back in the days. I still have my old DuPont Registry magazines with this and other amazing widebody cars like Strosek Porsche 911 turbo for sale new and used.

To the person reviewing while driving the car, my respect! As you treat and drive the car with respect and pure joy. While so many feel they have to “race” it. You just enjoy and concentrate on the finer things this car has to offer. Nothing to prove, but thoroughly appreciate it. As a long term 560SEC owner I regard those who “trash & crash” it sacrilege. Personally I find the 560SEC awesome as it is. Granted, I had mine slightly lowered to accommodate 18 inch rims and this gives it better handling. The Koenig a bit too much for my liking almost like the latest “Tonka cars” from Japan. The original AMG version, of which only some 50 were built, I do appreciate and admit these almost being in a different class. All the others pathetically claiming having an 560AMG have “tribute” cars. I find it sad some people not appreciating what they have and glueing stickers & plastic on it to delude themself for what they want it to be. I can almost feel the passion you have for this car, also when referring to the standard 560SEC’s. You are the perfect owner for such a car. My 2nd car, an ’18 hatch is a computer on wheels. I appreciate it because I can leave the SEC in the garage while it rains or too hot when going out. Regards from down under.

Correcting steering left to right is common on W126; remedied by adjustment in the power steering. Presuming he doesn't mean that the wide tyres track.

Great video and know excactly what you saying - i own 2 x Gen2 Euro coupes and a rare full hydro Euro 560SEL all fully optioned and they are very addictive. Like you say they are a timewarp from the 80's and there is just something about driving these that is hard to explain versus driving a modern car. Your just aways itching to go cruising in them!!!

Who’s the owner of this beauty? I would be happy to be in touch to see the car from a close angle here in Bahrain. I own 1990 SEC560 myself “Smoked Metallic” color. I’m interested turning mine into a KOEING version and I need guidance on that.
