HELLO and welcome to CMD - In May 2023 Chris handed me the keys to this immaculate Mercedes Benz A35 AMG. o shrinking violet - this example features some fabulous paintwork and spectacular spec.

Hot Hatches are delighted to offer this very bright Mercedes A35 AMG Premium Plus. Finished in Sun Yellow this 1 owner 2019/19 car has covered a mere 19,149 miles from new and is immaculate! From new this car had Paint Protection Film fitted to the front end meaning no stone chips! The interior is as clean as the outside, this really is a stunning stunning example!
From new these cars come fully loaded including AMG Suspension, MBUX Multimedia System, Panoramic Sunroof, Electric Seats and much much more.
Factory options on this car include the must have AMG Style Pack and Advanced Navigation Pack which includes Head up Display, Augmented Navigation and Traffic Sign Assist. This car has a full service history, unmarked exterior and interior, and matching P Zero tyres.

I've driven one of these, a mk7 golf r and a mk8 golf r all in anger and on track. Imo it sits right inbetween the 2 for driver involvement and I was fairly surprised by the amount of rotation you could get out of the a35 if you drove it like a yob.

@@CarMadDad Would love to, any excuse to drive a nice hot hatch 👌🏻 It's a tough call tbh, the mk8 r is faster and has a better chassis, but for 95% of the time, i think the Mercedes looks better and definitely has a better interior. 🤷🏼‍♂️

What fuel do you run on these cars , is the cheaper one ok

I would think superunleaded but it tells you on the fuel cap.

Edit: for me, bmw wins interior and rear and looks, merc wins front end. Haven’t driven the merc to be able to comment between the two but from reviews people feel the bmw has better low down torque?

I think the BMW pips it for me in this instance when compared against the Merc - but I would stress I’ve owned several BMWs over the span of nearly 18 years driving and have become used to their infotainment and driving dynamics - just my preference. That being said - it’s a win win as both are very good / capable cars 👌

A classes are grim! Had a courtesy car one and so cheap feeling inside. Hated the drive mode on the steering column. As for the A35 its just a slightly tuned 250.

Each to their own Jack - I agree that some jap alternatives give the stock car a thumping on the interior standard and spec

@@CarMadDad BMW just have better interiors. A Classes are also driven by the future yummy mummy who hasn’t quite got the needs for a Evoque in stormtrooper spec.

The pre-facelift A Class wasn't great, but the facelift does lift the game considerably. They're a very nice place to be.
