Atego is absolute bullshit, NEVER touch to that thing. i'm driving 2 different 2016 ategos in my work and they are the worst designed lorry trucks in the existence. transmission, brakes, among all the other daily use functions are so badly designed that the car is actually dangerous even in low speeds to drive. to list just few of the major issues with the car: the accelerator response is very jumpy, and often has *3 second* delay before *jumping* into acceleration, both reverse and forward the automated crouch cannot be toggled off other than by manually switching to neutral (how the fuck come that a 2010-era car doesn't switch to N automatically when fully stopped and brake depressed?), which leads to the problem that since you cannot control the crouching with accelerator, you don't have full control of the vehicle in narrow spaces. the automatic crouch seems to have at least 3 different speeds which are randomly picked by the ECU - fastest of them is fucking 20km/h and the car actually jerks into the full 20km/h "crouch", not giving a fuck how close the pier or a car or a wall i am. the automatic crouch toggles off on it's own completely randomly, and the only way to switch it back on is to use the jumpy, non-responsive accelerator, which neither does activate it every time. the exhaust brake (the full 2 click brake) often doesn't activate and sometimes activates just partially, meaning that you cannot plan your driving with the exhaust brake only, and are often forced to use your brake pedal just because of the bad mercedes design. the crash alarm brake activates from traffic dividers and siderails and with full braking potential, making the car extremely hazardous to drive in slippery roads and VERY dangerous for the people driving behind you. here's just the biggest problems you will encounter if you waste your money on this compilation of bad ideas on truck framework. go for scania or volvo instead if you want a *truck you can trust.*
