Just a little update from my previous comment, as I've said i currently have a 2016 c220d premium, my wife has just got a new job with a company car, and guess what the car is a 2020 c300d in premium trim so I was more than happy with that. However after spending some time with it, personally I don't know if I would personally upgrade to one. Its a nice car, and the engine goes like the clappers with good economy however I don't find it any more refined than my old one, now bear in mind they are both premium spec, I love the standard apple car play, better ambient lighting, and charger pad,, and the digital screens, but all that has come at the expense of a pan roof, keyless entry, electric boot, and memory seats, all no longer fitted as standard. Like I say its a nice car but personally I'm kinda preferring the older generation here, and let's not also forget my 2016 is 30 to tax where as the newer one will be 400 odd as over 40k when new.

Agree, I have a 2017 c220d amg line, its a brilliant car, totally agree with the 250d being a great engine as I have had one of those also. My current 220d has been remapped which now mirrors the 250d in terms of performance. Thanks for a great review.

Thank you! The 2.1 litre turbodiesel is one of the strongest engines I've encountered. In the last generation of it from 2014 to 2018 you can really tell that the years of development had paid off. Keep on enjoying your C-Class!
