Mercedes Benz CLA250 VS Lexus IS250: Which Is The Better Car For Young Nigerians?
Most of the time, the Mercedes Benz CLA250 and the Lexus IS250 are top choices for young people, young couples, first time car owners and parents who want to purchase cars for their children.
In today’s episode of our car comparison series, CarContinent and I debated between ourselves, which the better car is to own.
The Lexus IS250 F-sport being the go to choice for the Lexus IS series is loaded with lots of driver safety and technology features as standard.
It’s powertrain is based on a small naturally aspirated v6 engine (2.5l) pushing 204hp and 250nm of torque and all-wheel drive as standard while the base IS250 has rear-wheel drive availability as optional.
The Mercedes-Benz CLA250, however, does come with different available packages in different units to allow the buyer decide on what package is most suitable.
This comes at different price ranges. The one in the video above, does come with the sport AMG kit, thus giving it a more aggressive appearance.
It comes powered with a 2l turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that puts out 208hp & 350nm of torque and is more fuel efficient.

To buy a car is very easy, but to maintain it is not the same. That's why everybody should go for Lexus. Lexus all the way. It's very easy to maintain, and you can easily find good Lexus mechanics here in Lagos... Mercedes is wahala. I can't buy wahala with my own money 🙄

Talking about looks, I give it to the CLA but talking about performance and interior I give it to the IS250. the CLA is just full of plastic and 4 cylinder engine, and more over, Nigeria car dealer has made this car so expensive

@@ridewithmiee the Lexus is a luxury car, it was made with that intention but the CLA was targeted towards the average customer who's not going to spend much but offer the Mercedes experience, so the Lexus was the more comfortable one but considering the price and what you get for the money, the CLA is the better option, it also has more power and is faster than the annoying Lexus v6 in the Lexus, the CLA felt more Swift and better around corners, with better fuel economy Thanks I'll be waiting for the CLA 45 amg review❤️🙇

CLA is more like a budget Mercedes. Lexus IS 350 is a proper sport sedan. I'll take a Mercedes c300 amg for sporting than a CLA. CLA just looks bad ass That's all.

😂❤ once again you have produced a wonderful video one critique move we have to work on those mics now let me get into the two car reviews. I personally on IS350 Lexus 🎉 I’m not bias, I will say as gorgeous as that Mercedes is well performance that Mercedes is that German vehicle would not outlast that Lexus Is250 Lexus. One small critique, the best of German cars all the cars that are made in Germany. We are not able to get those in United States and less they are governed. The Japanese make their cars that will go for 2 to 3 generations German cars are made for the moment. 🎉🎉 . As wonderful as you look in it, that vehicle bill will cost you more in the long run to maintain it.

@@ridewithmiee yes, the margin is very wide due to German parts are imported , we have to go to the dealer parts , Germans are not into mass amounts there in the mind set of take it or leave it. You know the cost pay it or don’t drive it. I have friends that on Mercedes benz but they also owning a second car because when there not car in maintenance which is weeks at a time. They are driving there other car. Japanese I have learned over the years make cars with minimum cost. And your car would not be at the dealer for weeks. My IS350 has 171000 miles with the original alternator water pump radiator. The list goes on. I only change the oil. I have rotated the tires and upgraded my brakes. 😇😇 We have no complaints 😁. I do enjoy your videos of all the other cars though

Alot about the CLA was left out. The CLA doesn’t come with premium leathers and whenever you’re on top speed there’s this squeaky sound one would hear cause the dashboard aren’t leather or metal they’re all plastics and the CLA has a fragile engine that ain’t too rugged so pls the CLA is a front wheel drive and it’s not so Benz like other Mercedes Benz we all know anyone who as had experiences driving other Mercedes’ Benz shouldn’t drive the CLA cause I’d say it’s only meant for starters cause the engine is very fragile so with this point of mind abeg pass me the IS250 Fsport tnk you😅

Don’t take this wrongly, but you do need to work on your mic. I think it does matter where you place the mic to get a clear and crisp output. I love Mercedes but the CLA is too plasticky for my liking. The Lexus wins hands down.😂

I will skip both cars, i can't stand the lexus is and es series, bring on the gs series thats a good car. For me, mercs starts from c class and above. But i will always choose tha mercs any time, i love the balance at high speeds, engine and tranny in the benz are stronger people just don't know, i had a c class that the gear oil plug fell off after some ladipo mech changed my gearoil after six years of abuse, the tranny still covered reasonable distance to where i was able to get oil into it. Car continued to run trouble free, the only thing changed in the engine in the period of 7years was oil, filters, spark plugs and an alternator which burnt out bcos i used an inferior battery. I have Toyotas which are basically lexuses that there power train can't withstand half of the torture i put the mercs tru.

They are not the same class the Lexus IS compares to the Mercedes c class, BMW 3 series, Audi A4 while the CLA compares yo AudiA3,BMW 2 series, Lexus CT 250H

Its not a very fair comparison because the lexus is f sport and the cla is not amg fsport is lexus' sports class and amg is mercedes' sports class

Hi there! Thank you for watching. The F is to Lexus as AMG is to Mercedes. F-sport is just a trim level and only includes sport tuned suspensions and the LC gauge cluster and aesthetic upgrades. There is no extra performance added. The CLA 250 in the video above also has some AMG aesthetic bits but no added performance, hence they are perfectly matched please.

The Is250 is useless... That 2.5L V6 engine is garbage. It sucks too much fuel ⛽, and its too slow. If Lexus dey hugry me, I'll look for is350, Es350 or Rx350 instead. The is250 is unreliable. The engine suffers carbon buildup, like a small tigar generator.
