To be fair it did last way past the warranty period. There are thousands of parts on a car and they have to penny pinch on everything. The margins aren't as big as they used to be on Luxury cars also since Lexus came on the scene. Lexus forced Mercedes to no longer allow engineering to determine the price of the car but rather the accounting team.
