200000km total failure. Quality is worse than ever. Total crap. ML350 2006

thats disappointing to a lifelong Mercedes guy, I just replaced the broken pivot arm on our C207 coupe and the flaps seemed to be intact and moving freely so i re-installed, a month later the check engine light is back for evap leak and secondary air. It sucks!

@@SergeyPRKL I have a 05’ E55, I have had zero mechanical issues other than supercharger pulley bearing, I bought in 2007 with 19k miles, now have 124K and has been trouble free.

my 2008 with 250k is still holding up tight, I do spray it with some silicon spray and some plastic protector but I know the repair will come, this is just extending the life of it.

ltwargssf R if you have plastic parts, it is made with the improved intake manifold. There is huge difference with the first one (the one in this video, cast aluminium only), the second version and the third. Third is the one which probably will last for decades, and should been from the start.

Automakers use a lot of plastic in their cars these days. There are two kinds of plastic: The kind that breaks (this is what the auto maker uses) and the other kind is that which your Walmart toys come packaged in - the kind you can't get open without a torch.

well, those Walmart clear vacuum molded product packaging plastic is going to melt if you heat it up. to make plastic parts that will last, they just have to add fiberglass, but they don't. because they don't want those part to last.

Holly crap that is a lot of play in the intake. After driving MB for over 16 years, I switched to Hyundai for better quality. I'm done! Did the engine have the biodegradable balance shaft as well? I have a 2008 ML320 CDI and it's had a lot of problems that should never have happened. i.e. After replacing the tail light seals, seals around the rear window and rubber grommets where sensors go to the bumper, I've FINALLY stopped leaks into the car. How many Kias trunks fill with water when you drive in the rain or go through a car wash? I've spent over $4K on unscheduled maintenance and I just hit 80,000KM. Nuts. What the hell happened? These used to be good cars.
