My parents bought one back in 2008 and around the time my dad lost his job (during a recession) and everything broke and everything was a 1000 dollar fix and we sold it 5 years later for a used 2002 Ford F-150 at a Toyota dealership. So we never bought a Mercedes ever again or any luxury car in general.

My cousin has one, he bought it for $1700 lol. The car is amazing, he has the 07 R350 and Ive used it quite a few times. It feels like the starship USS Enterprise, it feels massive yet nimble and sporty. The ride comfort is unlike any car Ive driven or been in, it is unparalleled, even compared to a Range Rover, the air suspension absorbs every bump. The quality of the interior is top notch. The only real drawback is the V6 model, which is the one Ive driven, it lacks power, considering its the E class engine in a car that weighs 1000 lbs more. Its not that its too slow but you have to press your foot down just to get it upto speed, than again, this car makes you want to take your time. The r63 is the perfect car, ll the practicality of a 3 row seating people mover with all the power of a muscle car.

How many R Class cars have been seen on the roads lately?. The video here explains it all, given the hefty outlay of the initial price of the vehicle (£40,000+ : before options) and factor in the running costs - even the best diesel engine is less than frugal - no surprise that the German car company has stopped production of a car that is difficult to pigeonhole - looks like the "Aston Martin Cygnet" of it's kind : attractive to own, yet its probably expensive to maintain and purchase, along with the fact that the vehicle has little appeal to customers.

Eric Terrin : Third One?. Should I win the lottery jackpot, I'll "'dangle the carrot" to my brother in law to see if he's interested. Your review - if the car was being made - should be enough to keep the order books full for quite sometime.
