450 miles on long runs. 350 miles average. 21mpg urban. Just done a 400 mile cruise and got 35 mpg. Bodywork still looks showroom.

I got it. 1. Much bigger inside than outside (contrary to for example Highlander) 2. 6 comfortable seats (contrary to 4 comfortable seats in for example XC90) 3. Decent performance and decent price 4. Relatively reasonable price for parts (better than Q7 for example) If you have a need to have 4+seats and you don't want to buy a bus this one is a jackpot. I was close to buy a new Dacia Jogger Hybrid, then I noticed buses are not very expensive. I don't want a bus YET so I started desperately looking for something fun and spacious. I can tell that being able to COMFORTABLY drive my whole family with grandparents is a luxury that can hardly be achieved with any other car. For 5 people it's still very comfortable and fits most luggage inside. For 6 you probably need a roof box though.

I had an R320 but unfortunately I should have only taken it to Mercedes for maintenance, it eventually developed a limp mode which nobody could resolve, then the turbo blew. I replaced the turbo and yet the limp mode did not go...so i sold it...i regret this and should have taken it to Mercedes to clear the limp mode. Having said that, I had thousands of kilometers and never felt tired of the vehicle...a beautiful majestic beast.

I have a 2007 R500 and its 1 of the best cars ive ever owned, spacious luxury and power and definitely all the bells and whistles.

Why does the w163 always get left out of the 3rd row seat conversation? 😔 Probably the most underrated model too.. only body-on-frame merc SUV besides G class, capable off road, full time AWD w/ hi/lo selection. smooth in town/highway. Styling of AMG body kit version actually attractive... That all being said though, no matter what you do to a w163, nothing compares to a R63 🤤🥵🥵😍

Bought 2012 R350 Bluetec. On its side says "bluefficiency" and apparently it is also 4matic (no such a lettering on it). I'm a little confused because some of those markings don't go together.

I have one! Also an s430. The R is made for breeders. To much plastic to much road noise... And not so great in snow! not what i expected when i bought it as a winter car... It burns oil.. Crap for gas mileage... Note fast as shit!
