Thank you for stopping by, I don't own the car so I can't really tell, but I can imagine that it's costly. I know that Mercs are not bas when it comes to quality but over time they become costly to run. I hope if we get an answer from an owner

those are not speakers in the back of the doors there vents for the cooling and heating for the driver and passenger seat

I think you mean on the backrests of the front seats...

David Hamilton yes he pointed to them and said they were speakers when they are not I should know I have a s550 and other cars that have the same vents on the backrest

Yes, I just watched that part again and he did point to those vents as speakers. After watching all the reviews on the S550, I'm now seriously considering it to be my next MB, but I'm curious to note that the 2016 models have two different under grille aprons, one with a turned down look and the other with an upturned look. I've asked AutoMotTube, but so far they haven't responded. Perhaps you could clear that up for me. Thanks in advance...

David Hamilton we have 2 S550 and a GLS550 and we never had issues with them of course we have the extended warranties. there is another grill but it's special order and doesn't have the star on the hood. and then there's the amg grill. the other grill maybe your thinking of is from the s550 cabriolet

guillermo herrera Sorry, I should have made it clearer. I know of the other grilles, the one with the three pointed star within it, like my 2010 C200 Avantgarde model and the one that sits atop the hood on the other. Actually, I was referring to the area beneath the grille, the air dam or apron, which has the 2016 models showing two distinct designs. One featuring the ends downturned and the other's ends curved up, which I thought the up curved design may have been exclusive to the S600 Maybach and S550 4Matic models, but no, it's also on just the S550 model as well. Again, sorry for the confusion...

S500 or S550 is same,S550 is used in US models,both are 4.7 V8 around 450hp
