Mercedes Benz w124 500e "Replacing The Worlds Most Expensive Bushing Kit, Idler Arm Bushing"

Here is another reupload
I was quite shocked when given the quote on this idler arm bushing for the 500e.
They are not the same size as on any other w124 or w201...and you cannot even get an aftermarked one.At least not a GOOD aftermarket one..so genuine is the only choice...and to be honest..thats fine..cause if there is any parts i do not feel the need to "skimp" on..it is indeed suspension parts.

I did the same work on my 500E in June this year. I ordered just the bushings, 129 463 0050, like SMOKED did, and still used the old screw and washers. It cost me here in Germany 70€. The clue is, when you check with a VIN for any 500E W124, this number will not come up in the MB Parts System. For the 500E, they only offer the whole kit, bushings a screw and two washers...but it is more than double the price. If you check e.g. for an 500SL R129, you can get the kit, 129 460 0019 or just the bushings, 129 463 0050. Why MB does it?? I have no idea...by the way, i love all your videos about your car...keep on doing..thanks!

fuckinlowdowndrummer no! I was in the uk helping my brother with his mk1 ford mexico! He had a stroke so its hard for him to do anything, i got the trans in and bunch of stuff done, i have a guy here in texas that has a bda engine!, in parts. His price is reasonable , so i may surprise my bro next visit:) Keep up the good work my friend.

I remember it was about 103 euros back in 2011. There was a trick to it, if you ordered the parts sperately. A 129 463 00 50 - Bushings about 60€ in 2011 N 910113 016002 - Bolt and nut abot 3€ in 2011 Lemförder was 12358 0, but discontinued. Maybe theres stock left in the USA or Japan.

hey there.Well..that i dont know.Eitherway...i never shop from Autodoc..as they are a " bad" place for parts.Or for me it is at least.I only deal with quality OE parts,,or OEM factory parts,Also the special thing with this particular bushing for the 500e..is that it is a r129 SL part..and it can only be bought original...or at least..at the time of filming that was the case.How it is today..i really dont know mister :) Thank you for commenting :) Best regards,STefan

thats super expensive for beeing in the us...check out the price for a standard w124 one..and i do think that would be like 70 dollars..or something :)
