I bought one for 6 months, lovely to drive, a bit different to what I've been used to with Kia Hybrids, but its now sold and I'm back with a Kia Niro 3 Hybrid. The low seat (bad back) and dodgy battery rumours put paid to my Merc days. I don't think the batteries are all going die, that's probably more to do with over-charging or trying to drive the electric engine like a petrol, but the rumours could affect the value very quickly. I'd say fiddle with the display between the rev and speed dials to show the mpg. Accelerate the car to your desired speed, lift the accelerator, and then gently phase your right foot back down, watch the battery drive indicator - this is where you'll save energy and use the battery in a cleverer way. I tried charging the battery and had to call the RAC to release the charger - there's a hook inside the back wing of the car, just pull away the trim seal and use a pair of long nose pliers and save £150 call out feed. The Kia Niro 3 hybrid is a bit noisier, but wins in every other requirement for me

In Brazil, the mileage consumption is measured in Km/l. We also have ethanol and petrol available in every gas station, but almost 100% of the cars sold new, are "flex" (can use both in any proportion) and because this, they consume more than an exclusive one.

Sorry green freeks who don't shower to save the rain forest, I'm not gonna live twice and I intend to squeeze every bit of enjoyment out of this life. Me and many of your viewers have no clue at all what it means when you say 99.9mpg. I know a mile is roughly 1.6km. A gallon... I'm a complete ignorant regarding that. Outside the UK, as far as I'm aware, only US uses gallons, and even there it's a different volume to the UK. Fully charged on the other hand is viewed all over the world, I hope. Sorry if it sounds like a rant, it isn't. I really enjoy viewing the show, it keeps people updated with the progress of, well, the future of our day to day.

Rob S hi, My workplace is just 2 miles from home so most of the time I don’t use petrol, occasionally travel long. On an average in getting 54mpg. If travelling long more often then you will only get 38mpg max. On single charge 12 miles, if very very careful max 14 miles.
@ratheshravi3 жыл бұрын
Rob S haha, 134mpg is impossible, dont know why Mercedes advertise that unless your travelling short journeys and charging at work will get higher. If drive 10miles battery finishes, then you are drive with heavy battery pack, which will reduce economy. I thought I will get 100mpg when I was buying it. Don’t get me wrong the car is lovely no regrets buying it. Super comfortable. Comes with air suspension as standard. Glides on the road. Very powerful machine. 0-60 is 5.9 sec

Never, why would they? Buy TESLA its well just 20x times better, so you know, fully electric,the best car in the world, has autopilot, 17 INC LCD, 2.5s -100km, safest ever above 5 stars. And mercedes gets governments handouts for poisoning our air with carbon gas, so the profit dictates you will never get fully electric car. And hybrids is a lie they like instead of burning 10lyters/100km burn 9.5l/100 km but they have a small battery like your phone so they are considered "hybrid" lol

MyGreeed Sure go to a Tesla site to read about a Tesla safety rating. Shame. Tests have already proven it is lacking in the safety front. If you think the engine intrudes into the passenger compartment then you, like many other brainwashed Tesla zombies, know absolutely nothing about how a car works to dissipate crash forces.

km/l are a step in the right direction from mpg, but both of them seem weird to me. Usually you know how far you want to drive and want to know how much fuel you need for that. mullahviking, I doubt that you actually meant 1 mile=10km, but that's the way I read your comment. One mile is about 1.61 km. The beginning of your comment is confusing, too.

Dave Riley In norway Mil is another term for 10KM not to be confused with mile.
@daveriley63107 жыл бұрын
My apologies. I wasn't familiar with the term mil being used to mean 10 km. In the U.S. we commonly use the measurement mil to denote thickness of 0.001 (or 1/1000) inch, and in some professions meaning a certain tiny angle, though there are several different definitions, one of which is 1/6400 of a degree. Thanks for telling me another meaning. For myself, I'm beginning to use watt hours per mile or, alternatively, miles per kWh..

My next car was gonna be a C350 CDI and I was planning on mapping it, so it makes 300+ horsepower. Sadly because of all the dieselgate nonsense and the impending diesel bans... I have to buy something else. And since I don't have enough money to buy and run an AMG, I'll just have to settle for a hybrid. Still a great car tho... Extremely comfortable, looks brilliant, drives brilliant and if you leave it in Individual mode, you have more control over the hybrid system. Cause if you leave it normal (hybrid) mode, the engine turns on and off every 5 seconds and I doubt that's good for the starter and the engine temperature. And the best part, those glorious 600Nm... When I put my foot down, the C350e will have the same punch as it's evil V6 diesel brother. And in Germany, you get free charging points, you can use bus lanes and you get very low taxes and low insurance premiums, cause nobody hoons a hybrid, or electric car. I could also get a few extra horsepowers with a remap on a C350e... I won't buy it to pretend to save the world. I'm gonna buy it as an alternative to a quick and fun diesel car. I welcome fun and quick hybrids...
