Hi Kit, I looked many of your videos and you realy do a great job. I appreciate a lot the way you explain the problems and the way the fix them. I have a question. I have a 2007 Dodge Sprinter with the 3 liters engine. I was far from home and had problem with my engine falling on the limp mode. Finaly took an appointment in Mercedes dealer and it cost me $600 canadian to diagnostic a loose clip on the 3 ´´ turbo charger rubber hose just before the intercooler. So I bought a smoke machine to do my diagnostic the next time a have a similare code. I know that I have no leak actualy, so I tried my smoke machine to see if it work. I did the same thing you do in your video. Disconnect the air intake ,put the plug and connect the smoke. I don’t now why , the machine work correctly but, the pressure never go up . Smoke is produce by the machine and did not find any leak, but I was outside with windy condition…hard to the smoke. Anyway , I am sure I don’t have a leak. Looking at your video, on your machine the pressure does not seam to increase when you do your test, am I wrong? Why my machine can not increase the pressure? Where does the smoke go ?

Had this issue come up this week and I've been trying to figure out the problem. Ran smoked through the system and everything seems to be okay but the smoke ends up coming out of the oil dipstick inlet. Is this a normal place for the smoke to exit? Also, should the actuator be in the open position for this to work properly?

@_0O0O0O0_ smoke coming out of the dipstick is normal, the actuator of the turbo doesn't have to be moved!

Mihai Sorin Turbo temp can vary between 900 - 1400 degrees
