I have this fault again...but the car is on 180k miles, changed the sensor last time without removing the airbox, but I will try this method...very very helpful video. Many thanks

Foam coming out the back indicates dpf is not hot enough for the clean you need to see smoke ideally not foam you should of bought up the temp for exhaust sensors and dpf temps aswell on your launch diagnostics nice video all the same

Do any of the proprietary pour in tank DPF cleaners from the like of Wynns or Redex work from a preventative point of view? Just bought a 2019 Civic diesel and want to give the DPF the best chance I can.

What was the mileage on the car ....I'm buying a 2010 Merc e250cdi with 27000 miles , worrying about it's history of poss short journeys , there are no warning lights at the moment , what would be your advice , I was thinking to take it a dpf cleaning specialist to have it serviced straight away ......thanks from West Yorks UK

Hi, my sprinter has a dpf problem as well. I'm waiting for the launch liquid to arrive and I'm going to fill up my dpf with this. Couple of questions about this, do you ever run a forced regen after letting it soak or do you just rev it up yourself. Will I be ok to pour the liquid in the o2 sensor hole? Is pouring the liquid in 2 stages necessary and when is the best time to warm the engine up? thanks

No I don't do forced regeneration. O2 sensor holes is fine. One stage while stationary and sit for 20 minutes. Second stage while engine is running

@@ORileysAutos just ran some through and fingers crossed it’s ok, idle pressure was reading 7.85hpa and 3k rpm about 70hpa

@@ORileysAutos I had a look yes, the lowest I had seen idle was 20-45 and under load upwards on 100 but this was after using that wynns detergent which wasn't ideal. It's been troubling me for a couple of weeks now, at worst it was at 300-400 under load Ill find out tomorrow when its out on its round

Mine the same, did you get it fixed? I have a C Class and changed the sensor and poured cleaner in, still sitting at 50mbar differential pressure.

I think that it will be enough for a maximum of 3000-5000 km., And it will clog again

You would be suprised about some of the functions of these new scanners. The launch 431x I have tells you based on your driving data how long the dpf life's span is based in Mileage at the current soot level, regeneration rate and how many miles the dpf has already done.
