Mercedes E550 Biturbo LOUD Straight Pipe Exhaust Cold Start

2012 W207 E550 Coupe with M278 biturbo cold start with 1.5k rpm rev at the end. Car has a custom exhaust, 2nd cat delete, resonator delete, and muffler delete, with a H-pipe in the place of the 2nd cats. Very loud set up, you can hear the microphone cut out a few times.

I have a 2014 CLS 550 straight pipe. Sounds identical. We both have M278 Bi-Turbo engines. I love my cold starts, and I love how the exhaust barks when upshifting with hard acceleration 💣💣💣 Great video brother 🔥

Hey I remember this video. I did a similar setup. I still have my front resonators aka secondary cats but they’re actually resonators, and an xpipe. Everything else off including primary cats. Interestingly gutting the primary cats only added a little bit of sound. Removing the rear muffler created the most sound. I know people that have straight pipe from the turbo back. Way tooooo loud for me

Get a 2011 with the 5.5L engine instead of the 4.7 - I have one and it sounds fucking dirty

@@berdanaksu7583 No it's not the same engine. The 5.5 Biturbo is only in the newer AMG cars. There is no such thing as E550 with 5.5 Biturbo, they only have the 4.7 Biturbo

Hi I have a m273 coupe with almost similar setup and OE Tune I just have the mufflers and the primary cats intact everything else is the same along with x pipe and secondary cat delete. I am trynna get the muffler delete next week. Can you post a rolling video and is there drone on low end

If you aren’t getting downpipes, then I’d just delete secondary cars and resonator and put in an x pipe

Didn’t really have to buy anything, the shop cut out everything passed the primaries and put an x pipe where the secondary cats were. Also mine is for sale if you’re still looking. Comes with a comprehensive warranty that has covered $$$$ in repairs 🤑

I have an coupe with gutted cats and a custom intake and I pretty much smoke everything I race. Tuned/intake 2018 m2. FBO Scats. Ls2 swapped 240. Walked them all. I got whooped by an srt8 though but I think he was fully built 10s car.

@@glawsco1211 yeah it was. Probably my best win. A old non AMG beating a newer M. And I had a passenger. If you get an m278, I HIGHLY suggest the E coupe. It will be the lightest most sportiest one. CLS will have more luxury but won’t handle as well and is heavier.

@@ViperEsq I finally got it. Had it installed few hours ago. Removed mufflers, stainless steel pipe bent and matched to OEM tips. You where 100% right. Sounds amazing and mean as heck. Feels like a new car. Drone is almost non-existent, even darn quite at idle or at some rpm ranges. I was surprised. Thanks for the videos, it was this video that pushed me to finally do it and I am dam impressed. Cheers! :) WOT is epic on the highway! :)

Kenneth Lien I felt a little loss down low but that just means you have more power top end, and after I got the tune the little power loss I felt was negated I’d say definitely plan on getting a tune it will really open the car up
