Nice to know sport mode is reasonably efficient if driving as if in eco mode. If you change units in Mercedes settings to kwh/100mi, then consumption should be even more accurate as it gives accuracy to three numbers instead of two in mpkwh. 2.9 mpkwh in eco mode is better than 2.5 in sport mode, though maybe sport mode might be closer to 2.9 because I guess EQC is less efficient for first few mile(s) of travel, or first 2 miles to shop might have been a less efficient route

Lovely video as usually. Personally, i think it’s not the mode you in but how hard or fast you drive it.

Generally though I drive with -d in comfort, and auto d econ mode on motorways. In auto d car will do a auto braking cruise control of sorts - just don’t totally trust it! It will also slow you down to speed limit changes (70 to 50 etc) from memory. I don’t do anywhere as much motorways miles and it been a while..

Yes D auto is great. Great for coasting as well. I also sometimes put d auto on top of cruise control so d auto engages to slow the car down when approaching another car in the front after coming off my dump cruise control. Cars with adaptive cruise control don’t have to bother as the ACC maintains a distance with the car in front any way😄.

I’ve just started watching and always suspect sport is actually no different or slightly better efficiency on non-motorway runs.

I think you are right. I have been surprised a few times actually. 😁

@@myevlife1681 sports mode is only if I am alone in the car, don’t want to scare the passengers, and truly other road users,, the performance is just not expected.
