I have a Mercedes ML250 automatic. Parked on a steep uphill and now the car won’t start although I can use key to open and shut the car, don’t think the battery is the issue as we didn’t leave anything on and was only gone for 10 Mins. Stranded in North wales!!

Hey, have same problem but no dash lights at all and no start, sometimes when i reconnect the battery (with key on) the power on the dash all works Its a c180 2013 (cla) any help? Currently stranded

@@rowaldwousie5289 hmm ok, seems to be ESL fault. Usually if you jiggle or smash the steering column a few times it should move the electric motor and allow you to start the car at least once. You kinda need some to take it out and repair it. So again, look for Mercedes c class ESL fault and should be same issue that you have

Just programmed a spear key after all went successfully original stopped E350 2004. And spear was not operating. Couldn't figure out what was the issue until someone else removed the EIS. and car back to normal. Still they didn't let me know what they did! I believe they reprogrammed the original.

Not sure really. Mercedes genuine Keys can't be reprogrammed. They come designated on their own slots...

Might be a faulty key as well but this can be diagnosed only after a full scan

Guys please help. After having the battery removed for hours and then reconnecting to try to solve an issue i now get a error message (EZS- electronic ignition lock) which stops my car from trying to start the engine and windows from opening or closing. Its looks like a security feature has been enabled or something. I tried to remove it with an obd device but nothing. Car mercedes cla180 c117 2013 Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks 🙏

@@samanthagames1023 problems were no turn no start and intermittent Stalling . Yes really dangerous , I fixed it by replacing faulty Camshaft Position Sensor , CPS best to buy original Mercedes Part. 3 months now working fine
