Mercedes R129 SL Class..Side mirror removal and repair

My mirror got flown into by a bird and now its gone sloppy but the motors are still working they just don't align the mirror - lots of popping and reluctance to go in the direction i want - do you think the bird strike knocked the glass poppers out?

What size are the phillips screws?

Thank you for this great video . I was wondering , what is the purpose of the connector , that you used a flathead screwdriver to remove ? Does it need any alignment to connect or just screw it back in place with no worries. I didn't want to remove my mirror and replace , without watching your video first. Thank you again Fupabox.

that connector is only for removing the motor assembly from inside the mirror housing if the motor isn't working properly . Otherwise you can remove the mirror and glass without removing that screw

oh..the philips screws are in the same place of W124!!! even the socket is the same.I believe this mirror could fit W124.do you have any idea about retrofit to W124?

May I ask what went wrong with the SL that you decided to part it out?

just too many little things + bodywork/paint..it was worth 5x as much in parts as it would be if I completely redid the car...not to mention I haven't the time to do it this year so it would sit another year

No sound on all your videos. I checked other videos, just to see if my speakers are OK. You videos have NO SOUND.

+AXuHEA must be a youtube issue at the moment..The sound is there, always has been.. I also have noticed no sound on other videos on youtube in the last week or so..then I check them again, and the sound is there.. googled it and found adobe flash update can cause the no sound issue
