Reseting roof module on clk convertbles VDO When it stops windows and other components from working. Saves from removing negative battery terminal.

So, is this an indicator that the rear fuse module is faulty, or is there another module in the car that has gone bad?

This is a way to reset the roof module if all the windows , mirrors , rear headrests stop working and the red roof light is on constant. Before the only way was to take the negative battery terminal off fir a couple of seconds then back on again. Obviously this dosent do your car anygood. I read an article in benzworld about this same fault with the roof module doing this every now and then. Yes i know replace the module , but i cant afford it yet. And the age of the car its not worth it. Since ive made this video if put 2 switches in line with the 2 fuses so when this fault develops i just turn off ignition , flick the 2 switches off and back on and it works for a couple of days or whenever the roof module goes into this state .

My clk 320 cabrio had this intermitent fault , It started , soft top red light is solid with key on , (no flashing lights) headrest light solid ... mirrors , soft top latch, windows , headrest buttons not working . Windows work only with key fob pointed@ outside door handle pressing Lock / Unlock button and holding for 3 seconds( all work at the same time . My boyfriend forced everything to work again by disconnecting the Negative battery cable. Then reconnecting after 5 seconds. This was only a temp fix as the fault keeper coming back at random. I wish I see this at the time . Would of saved a lot of stress on the ECU .

Where is the drain is connected ? The plastic tube?

So is the soft top module at fault or the window module? Anyone fix the problem?

My truck won’t open u think it’s bc my roof needs to be reset ican hear the motor so it’s work

Spray a lot of PTFE inside the keyhole of the trunk. Insert key and try to turn left then press in. My trunk wouldnt open u til i could open it with the key. You might have to use pliers to turn it . Make sure you do t turn too hard. You might break the key. Go gently. This the way i got mine to work.

2000 CLK 430 this didn't work for me, but thanks. Also detached the battery but that didn't work either. top was working before I took it in for B service but doesnt work now. windows go down, switch glows constantly but no motor sound... help

Check the fuse. If not working with new fuse (soft top electronic, check fuse Soft Top hydraulic) if not working check hydraulic fluid level, check the hydraulic pump.
