Mercedes S65 AMG V12 Biturbo exhaust sound | Revs & accelerations

Big thanks to my boss, Bob, for letting me film and drive his S65! This was my first time driving a V12 and it was amazing. Unfortunately the cabin is so quiet that it's hard to capture how it sounds inside, but I did my best to show how it sounds from outside. Enjoy!

Yes, the W222 S63 AMG is the only Mercedes I'd ever want to own, next to maybe the W204 C63 Black Series, even though it's only a C(hick)-Class.

Agree 100%, the W222 is going to age beautifully and much more gracefully than the W221. It hasn’t aged at all for being 7 years old. Congrats on the S63!

@@mosquitogzz That means you got the facelift then. The pre facelift was the last true S63 with its big 5.5 Twin Turbo V8. The 4liter is in every car but enjoy the fuel economy.

why is that this v12 sound sooo much deeper and meaner than for example a Lamborghini v12. This sound has bass to it and most of the other v12s (Ferrari, Aston, Lamborghini, etc) have a raspy, high pitch sound to it, like some mad bees or something versus a mean dobermann. I need to know the science

I wish I knew as well. At first I thought it was due to the turbos, but Aston Martin V12s sound deep like the AMGs but they are naturally aspirated like the Ferrari and Lamborghini’s and don’t sound as high pitch as those. Maybe the firing orders are different but I really have no idea :/

Yeah stock exhaust. It’s fairly loud at start up and the revs, but from inside you hear nearly nothing

Whats crazy is its only 621 hp and 0 to 60 in like 4 seconds. You have 4 cylinders out there doing 4 - 4.5 seconds. You have v8s with 700hp + This is just a waste of money.

It’s the weight that kills it, it’s extremely heavy and you notice that as soon as you brake or take a corner. But this car is for the comfort, status, and the monstrous torque.

This has atmospheric engine, real power. Cars you mention do it with Turbos. If everything is 0-100 buy a cheap tesla. Under 4seconds 0-100 causes anxiety. And also you should look at 100-200km accelaration values and compare it also
