I think that keeping it stock is the best choice , but anybody has his own taste

That's fair. My eye just doesn't love the wood trim look and it ages the car and/or driver too much for me.

You got it. Cupholder was broken so ordered new one on Oct 20. Been a bit of a mess since. Also new signal lenses. All tied up. So, can't put center console back in... Think I may have lost battery power too 🤦‍♂️.

I'm 50/50 on this mod for my 06 500. I like the updated look (now), but the wood is "classic" whether you like it or not. Will carbon fiber be classic in 5 years or another fad gone by? I'm somewhat hesitant to disassemble the MB as I've experienced "not back like it was" before. Your video does make me more confident I can handle this. It does look great! ;)

For me it was easy because I found the wood trim so objectionable and dating on this car which, otherwise, wasn't really showing its years. I also think reversion is pretty straightforward - especially once you've gone through the process once before to begin with. Certainly understand your dilemma. Carbon Fiber, in my opinion, are 'man diamonds' to where I believe/expect it to be a pretty persistent material - and it continues to show up in more places... GL whatever you decide.

Would you advise removing the door panel too take off the trim? I noticed you said it wasn't nessesary but looking at the clips i couldn't tell if they would break off if i didn't release them from the back.

If you’re removing the trim to wrap, yes, you must take the panels. You could wrap in with, but the result might be a touch less convincing. Make sense?

@@larrydeem3071 popping off would risk breaking the plastic receivers for the metal clasps. No surefire way to preserve the trim without removing the door panel.

You could probably get a 90% effect wrapping it while on the door. Would be slower and the edges would be more prone to come since tucking will be less secure. Best of luck!
