Interesting, I'll be trying this method. My roof motor/pump failed and I had to manually close the roof... with NO DAS I had to "physically" but slowly push the flaps back so I could close the trunk. The flap motor WAS working just fine, but mine are somewhat sagging due to physical push back. I'll try this method to see if it works, If not it's a rebuild ($50)

If you are 100% sure the leads you are using to power the motor, have a continuous supply without any breaks. I suggest you just put a multimeter on the ends on the spades and test for a 12v supply, or just connect a 12v bulb to see if there is power. If the leads are ok, then you need to replace the motor. Tell us how it went in the end. Good luck

@@kalsingh11 I’ve had a code which comes back to the left hand side flap micro switch but surely following your video the switch shouldn’t stop this ? Thanks

@@benjamabbey6002 you are by passing all the switches, so should not make any difference, as you are powering directly

@@kalsingh11 tried again today and the motor was just clicking every 2 seconds guessing the motor in broke
