Added detail. In addition to inserting the key in the secret spot, I've also found that on occasion you need to open and close the door to activate the system.

На самом деле такого не должно происходить, у меня такого не было до момента снятия клеммы аккумулятора. Когда я отсоединил клемму и подключил заново у меня появилась эта проблема. Я думаю это штатная проблема всех спринтеров. Видимо какой-то блок антены выходит из строя и перестаёт видеть ключ находясь неподаёлау от руля.

Are you sure it’s just a key issue. This helps the vehicle determine the key is valid the other systems still have to work. Check the battery voltage. Keep me posted as this first response I got like this. Good luck 👍

Yeah then when you get to your destination you get out the van, forget the key is in the marked space, slam the doors which are self-locking if you’re a well-known parcel delivery courier and you find yourself locked out..!!

Really? I think you are right, the van let's lock the doors with other set sitting on the chair, it happened to me last week. I thought I was going crazy but now I guess it's sort of defect.

Or just use fob to lock and then unlock doors, key will be recognized. No need to put in slot.

The battery of the remote may be low and very vehicle cannot detect the remote. You can either lock and unlock the doors with the remote or put in the little access hole that I show in the video.
