Hi James. I have very foolishly bought a 2006 W639. The door open warning buzzer is driving me crazy. It is an ex-Police vehicle which has had the wiring hacked about. I have fixed a number of faults and it has passed it's MOT. I want to remove the buzzer. Is it black/grey cube unit with hole in the middle on the back of the PCB. If I remove or disable it, would everything still be ok or is there a fuse to disable it. I am getting close to my wits end with this bloody van. If you can't help, no problem, I enjoyed your vid..

Yeah, just desolder, and remove, careful not to damage the PCB when removing. Cheers James

ich habe anhand dieser Anleitung mein Kombiinstrument zerstört. Was er nicht zeigt, und wir vermutlich nicht alle zuhause haben: Eine Teststation. Wenn die Zeiger mal ab sind, sind Sie nicht mehr einfach so zum draufstecken. Diese stecken immer falsch bis man ein paar Mal im Auto angesteckt hat und wieder abgesteckt, sodass die drunter liegenden Stellmotoren wieder auf Null stehen. Mein Tacho geht trotzdem nicht wieder und das Display lässt sich nicht sauber verlöten wenn man kein Experte ist.

j avais un vito 1999 l affichage tres tres fracjil soudee avec les quartz afichage c est pour cela ca me fait peur de toucher

Hi, the 1999 Vito model is different, it has a fine tracked heat bonded ribbon cable, thanks James
