I suggest always disconnecting the battery before working in the fuse box area. Just as a precaution. Also, when cleaning the contacts in the box, only use a brass brush--not a steel brush. Replace fuses only with copper fuses, to eliminate the corrosion created by dissimilar metal contact.

I would like to add that one should also check the ends as the prongs that hold the fuse tend to bore out the filament and can drive one crazy as I will attest after buying two combo switches only to find the end of the fuse was worn out. Cheers

You should urgently check all of those fuse values. I can see right away that about half of them are wrong. Blue 25A fuses where there should be red or white ones. This is a fire hazard. You can get this type of fuse where the strip is copper instead of aluminum, and these are far less prone to oxidation.

Seriously. I know the expenses on this car will be endless for a while and you need to "make due" with what you have but you should absolutely get some Floesser brand fuses on eBay. They are all copper AND the body is ceramic. The fuses you have are plastic bodied with aluminum strips. Aluminum oxidizes and creates all sorts of conductivity issues. The bodies need to be ceramic to maintain their shape if the fuse heats up. Plastic bodied fuses will often melt/warp before they blow.

Your flasher switch is very likely dirty. Dust settles in them and the clog up, breaking the circuit or making it inconsistent. I have to pull mine about once a years, blow it out with compressed air and electric parts cleaner. Then it's good to go again!
