Mercedes W124 Window Switch Repair

I bought and installed 4 new window switches, W124.. they are working fine but their light won't turn on at all..I opened one to check the light lamp and I was surprised..it's LED and I don't have a clue about fixing it and what is the cause of such led light failure

Well... if the old ones lites up, then there's power , bench test, try using a 9 volt battery and leads to switch pins.

I want to thank you so much for your kind support 🙏 ... I've done exactly what you said and the led lamb works fine, so I guess the car window switch wires provide less than 9V or...???

@@ahmedelkhawaga5813 Is it just one switch or all have no light? if all don't work with light, check what other things don't have lights working, like dash switches etc.

@@mygermancars7264 all 4 new window switches (led light) light don't work. Still all 4 old switches light work and all dash switches light work fine....🙈

I have the same problem BUT, i tried 3 switches and they only make the window go down not up, so my fault is not with the switch itself, any other idea what it can be it happened all of a sudden.

So common, up and down, and what are other 2 for, pls help me cuz my w124 didnt have power windows and i am trying to retrofit them

Man same problem happend to 2 days ago all windows get jamed up and didnt want to go down glad its winter or i will turn into roosted chiken

Try this ,you can still get all windows to close, key in drivers door ,turn left and hold, they should close, my window switch repair can last 2 to 5 years, at least on my W124, R129.

@@kenjisan5036 oh well, I had a 1990 W126 300SE, worked on that car, maybe earlier models were different.
