Hey guys, in this video we will show you how to replace or remove Coolant Expansion Reservoir Tank on Mercedes W163 ML Class from 1998 to 2005. We demonstrated how to replace the coolant reservoir on a 2001 Mercedes ML320. The coolant reservoir tank is a weak spot on this Mercedes Model. They start cracking overtime and you might even overheat the engine.

Couldn't you clamp off the hoses so you won't have to drain the whole system or just drain just till the reservoir is empty?

i replaced the reservoir and after i started the car it got revving at 3000rpm, and realized their was two hoses (unrelated to the reservoir) on top of the engine that got loose and i have no idea where they are supposed to go, anyone knows what those hoses are called so i can look up some tutorials

IF I REPLACE THE RESEVOIR ITSELF ,..WAS I SUPPOSE TO FLUSH ALL THE KOOLANT OUT ? OR CAN I GET AWAY WITH JUST REPLACEING THE RESEVOIR LOOSING JUST ALITTLE BIT OF COOLANT ? CAN SOMEONE ANSWER PLEASE? I HAVE ML500 2002?W-163.

Those are not the original hose clamps from Mercedes, they use a scissor clamp that is a bitch to remove - I am just going to cut the clamp off on the bottom hose after watching this.
