This is exactly what I'm experiencing with my e200k right now. Thanks for this video. I think I'll replace with high quality fuel hoses for now. Till I can afford another feed unit. Maybe change the fuel pump motor with a Bosch unit.

Excellent video, thanks! Do you know if the hoses have the same problem on a W202 1998 C230? Mine had bad gas, and after I drained it and filled it up, it ran for a few minutes and then quit. Then it wouldn't start just like you showed us. But access to the sensors and hoses is from underneath the vehicle. A new gas tank is very expensive, so I want to just fix what's broken. Any ideas if the same problem occurs on this older vehicle?

You guts are great! Your videos have been helpful but I'm scratching my head on a dilemma. Replaced fuel sending unit but gas gauge is not working correctly. Either says full for 2 weeks, I add gas and gauge goes to empty. I checked connections on sending unit. Could tye wire harness that goes from sending unit to fuel pump be the issue?

At least Mercedes had thought of putting an inspection spot for the fuel pump, Jaguar x type you have to make one yourself!

hey My mercedes engine 111 year 1998 was not cranking nor starting. when i bypassed the starter relay it cranked but it does not start and has no fuel pressure yet the fuel fuse is ok , when i tried to bypass the fuel pump relay it got the pressure but the pump kept on even when the switch was off. so what would be the problem

check the fuses. Mine had a bad fuse that led me to believe it still had gas and run out of gas in the middle of the freeway

i do have a fuel pressure it cranks but doesn't start No RPM while cranking the sparks work fine the fuel reaches the injector could it be a bad crank position sensor? or an intake manifold problem? I just cleaned the injectors and replaced the fuel pump with a new one

Hy, its not Mercedes related but I have the similar problem with BMW siphon jet pump. The fuel from left side of the tank doesnt go back to right side of the tank where the fuel pump is located. The fuel pump with the hoses running to left side of the tank were replaced but didnt help. Also when I turn the key to 2nd position the fuel pump runs for about 1 minute and then it turns off, but it should run only for a second right? Also when checking the pressure there is 4.8bar coming from the pump but as soon as I turn off the key the pressure drops almost immidiately. Shouldnt the pressure stay for some time??? Thank you for your help.
