Mercedes W212 | DRL LIGHTS REMOVAL

How to remove daytime running lights for Mercedes-Benz W212 E-Class sedan and estate all models. Same procedure on both sides. You could not remove them from outside as some other benz models.

Mines use to have 2 round fog lights in their the harness that powered old lights $$ wouldn't power drls I bought to replace ,,fogs ,,so I got power from side markers on bumper working good

Great video. It's funny i've changed these lights so many times but i've always done it by removing the bottom front splash guard. This has its advantages I guess taking the tire off is the biggest deal. I may try this method next time as I wouldn't have to get under the car. Curious... one of these lights shorted out I believe and putting a new light in didn't fix it do you know if they are fused anywhere or does the left and right share a fuse?

That’s also good way to change them! Not sure but you could check that in the fuse diagram.

What about 2013 cls550 I did the driver’s side from the outside but I’m on the passenger side and it won’t come out? Can anyone help

My passenger side DRL FLICKERS while the other one works perfectly fine ! I’ve replaced the DRL STRIP but the problem still remains ? Any idea ? Is there bad ballast or something in the circuit that may be the problem

you can undo the surrounds of these from the front and just pull them out and unclip them.....no need to take any arches off literally take 20 seconds these like 2 Torx screws

Couldn’t you just take the front bumper off ? Or do you have to do this all just to replace the light ? Cause man I’m gonna have some work to do I have to replace my right light as well

Yess you could take the front bumper off I you wish doing it that way. But not sure if you save any time doing it that way.

Not really you need to disassemble the wheel covers anyway.

If you not had any other service for that price is a complete rip-off. I could not even believe mb dealer would be close to that amount. More like 400$ ~ original light cost 200 new!

Yess should include to remove the plate with all rivets and some more it’s bit work with that never done it but pretty sure I seen video on that for W212.

That’s a totally different setup , with this Benz the only way is from behind while other come completely off from the front
