Yah would be the easiest to cut all speakers in place without removing rivets. Dremel got broken while ago but it’s was not much of a deal to use hacksaw blade 👊

I'm pending to buy 2 pairs of 6.5" JBL GTO629 (CO-Axial), but I saw you removed your newly installed Rockford Fosgate (CO-Axial) speaker and replace it with just woofer unit. Please give me some advice that I should buy woofer unit or co-axial, as the broken stock speak also not co-axial type. Or any combination of it ? e.g 2 woofer at front and 2 co-axial at rear . I used adapters on mine and also used RTV sealant to seal the speakers to the adapters so there was no blowby causing distortion i am thinking about doing the sound deadening though

Nice I was thinking about the sealant but somehow I forgot about it. Proper work from you side there, what kind of adapters did you use for rear doors, and you had to remove door plate I guess?

@@MB212 no basically I ripped thr cones out of the rear speakers and drilled them out as you can rivet the adapters in from the front as you screw the new speakers into them and they are A class front speaker adapters 👌🏻

Its worth it...sound improvement from speakers and quieter cabin...buy all weather floor mats for more noise isolation

Would say it’s take away some noise but the biggest difference was the sound quality and I assume the dampening did some of it. Would say it’s worth it because sound dampening I used cost like 25€ for all doors, if you have a whole day for spare go for it. Not sure about your car model sorry.

Is there no tweeter in the rear? Can you install coaxial speakers in the rear doors and will they play treble? What about an amplifier? Needed or not?

hi, i do the same job. Thx a lot, the sound is really good and i enjoy my s212 because the mercedes sound is really bad. The tricky part is the clip at 1:10 difficult to remove. The size of the woofers is a little bit to big to fit in the hole, and finally it is not necessary to buy so much sound deadening

Go into ‘engineering mode’ and enable Bluetooth audio. For Bluetooth audio streaming from your phone, you may try to search some KZbin videos guiding you to go into ‘engineering mode’ directly from the head unit. Hope this this helps.

I don’t really recommend to change tweeters if you not into the audio stuffs and know how to because I know some have some problems after change. The problem for the rear speakers if you want to keep them you actually need to take apart the whole door plate sitting with rivets that’s are pretty hard to remove, that’s why I choose to brake them, is pretty good price for them in used market also. But I like you want to do it the right way I actually feel really bad to brake them, but I decide is not worth the problem remove the whole door plate. I don’t know where you buy the brackets for rear door. The speaker was great, but now when thinking about it if you have function original speakers is hard to say if is worth the change, I had a broken original from before in the front that’s why I mainly changed them all. This car is sold a while ago but they did work flawlessly 👍

Bit late here but there should be replacement parts for the handle alone, if you do it at a Mercedes dealer they’re most likely going to charge you the whole door as it is plastic riveted in

For now is only videos for W212 and coming for W124 that’s the car I own and working on. Not sure where you could find it the brand are (silent coat) I buy this from Swedish website www.brl.se they selling it out really cheap now 70% you could check if they ship it to you.

Sound improvement and I notice it’s bit quieter one the road I drive with Nokian Hakkapelitta 9 studded. These are pretty extrem many don’t like them because of all studs they do some noise and I would say it’s better. But mostly better sound.

Köpte dessa från BRL 800 kr paret. Tycker det blev bättre men svårt och säga hur slitna dom gamla original högtalaren var samt gjorde nog ljudisoleringen även sitt. Men bättre blev det men om de är värt o byta ett fungerande system vill jag inte svara på. Är svårt o få riktigt grymt ljud utan förstärkare och allt annat som sig bör.

I do not understand why Mercedes and Toyota use Rivet screws, their ridiculous. Need lots of time to remove by using drill. But as from what I know, Mercedes rivet screws seems much easier to remove than Toyota. Toyota is just pure garbage with their rivet screws. Btw, nice on the video
